Congratulations to @PHSNerdHerd on their First-Ever Regional Championship!
The high school varsity quiz team participated in the Ohio Academic Competition Regional Tournament this past Saturday and were named Northwest Ohio Regional Champions! The top two teams from the regional championship move on to the state competition, and while Pettisville has qualified for state two other times as the regional runners-up, this is the first time the team has won the regional competition.
Congratulations to our Nerd Herd on this historic finish!

Mrs. Meller's Physics students calculated the elastic constant of a rubber band. Then, using the concept of conservation of mechanical energy of both potential and kinetic energy changes, calculated how long their bungee string needed to be to have a successful bungee jump. Eggs were dropped from the ramp above the Atrium which is just over 4 meters. Way to go, Blackbirds!
