Just a reminder to all students regarding your Chromebooks. We are seeing a spike in screen cracks/breaks due to closing the lid with earbuds, stylus, or other items on the keyboard. Please use extra caution when closing your Chromebook lids & refrain from horseplay. Thank you!

Last week, Mrs. Meller's Environmental Science class hiked 3 miles along the Ohio Buckeye Trail (towpath), enjoyed lunch at Independence Dam, and traveled to the Florida bridge and Napoleon boat docks for water quality analysis. They also picked up litter along their way!

PES is busy spreading kindness this week... the 1st Grade classes were BOOED by the other end of the hallway... but we won't give them away! #FillTheCups #Kindness #Love #Dignity #Respect

Each year in October, we have a week devoted to promoting positive choices and decisions. The focus is for students to think about how they treat others, themselves, their community, and school. #TogetherPettisville is how we make our school better. Let's do this, Blackbirds!

Derek Meyer, local firefighter and uncle to a few of our students, came to visit the Kindergarten classes last week as they learned about fire safety. Thank you for sharing with our little Blackbirds! Check out their awesome fire truck masterpieces! 🚒

Mrs. Thompson's 5th-grade social studies classes have been learning about Native Americans. They sampled '3 Sisters Stew' as well as Nori (seaweed) with sushi rice. Students loved them, even knowing that they were healthy and nutritious foods. Awesome job on the totem poles!
