Gg is for GOLF! Mrs. Aeschliman's class visited the PHS Flight Lab today and learned about different clubs from Coach Zimmerman. They watched their HS classroom helper Creighton use an iron and a driver. It was loud! Our Blackbirds took a turn putting. Thank you Coach Zimmerman and Creighton! We wish you the best of luck at state golf this week!

Mrs. Miller's 4th grade Blackbirds have enjoyed a few fun activities recently. They played tug of war and related it to how earthquakes occur. When two plates are under pressure (two students pulling) the stress needs to be released, resulting in an earthquake. Students were able to fill the pressure/release throughout the activity and relate it to tectonic plates and plate boundaries. Students competed on an Amazing Math Race. They needed to complete different tasks around the school that reviewed topics we completed in class (place value, comparing numbers, ordering numbers). Students found their math problems by using the clues from their papers. Great job, Blackbirds!

Mrs. Hoffmire's kindergarten students learned about the letter Hh this week. They worked as Helping Hands washing tables in the cafeteria. A water bottle and plastic glove always makes cleaning more fun. Unprompted, they said, "Well, we gotta help. We are the StarBurst Bunch." Great job, Blackbirds!

It's always great to be a Blackbird, but today was an incredible day! STATE BOUND!!
Congratulations, PHS Golf ⛳️
