Each quarter, Pettisville Elementary students are awarded in 5 character traits: Compassion, Courage, Curiosity, Gratitude, and Honesty. Congratulations to each of these grade-level character award winners for quarters 3 and 4!
Gratitude means being thankful and happy for the good things in your life. It is noticing and appreciating what people do for you and the things you have.
Curiosity means wanting to learn and know more about the world around you. It is being a student who loves to ask questions and explore new things.
Compassion is caring about others and wanting to help them. It is being a kind friend who notices when someone needs help or feels bad about something.
Courage means being brave and doing the right thing, even when it feels hard or scary. It is trying your best, even if you’re nervous or worried.
Honesty means always telling the truth and doing the right thing, even when it's hard. It is being trustworthy, not lying, and not hiding things.
Congratulations to our 2nd Semester PES Award Winners! Keep soaring high, Blackbirds!

Today, Mr. Switzer took the 8th grade English students to visit Zekelman Holocaust museum in Farmington Hills, MI. They heard from a first generation Holocaust survivor, viewed the eternal flame meant to commemorate the 6-10 million Jews who were murdered during the Holocaust, and more. The tree pictured was a sapling from the tree that Anne Frank could see while hiding in the annex. What an incredible, humbling experience!

🌟 Happy National Principals’ Day! 🌟
We salute you Mr. Wagner and Mr. Waldgovel! You always have a million things to juggle, from solving the mystery of the missing lunchbox 🥪, to delivering a perfectly timed “teacher talk” during staff meetings! You’re the master of the hallways, handle every situation with grace, and you always know the right amount of “fun” and “seriousness” to keep us all in line (or at least entertained!). 😎
Thank you for always keeping the school running smoothly, for inspiring us to do better, and for reminding us that yes, coffee is an essential part of the day. Here’s to you, the ones who hold it all together... thanks for all you do!
#NationalPrincipalsDay

Coffee orders are here! If your student sold more than 4 bags, the coffee can be picked up in the main office (open until 4 PM). Thank you for your support in raising money for the @pettisvilleunityproject .
