Our 1st-grade classes have been learning all about cowboys this week, so they dressed the part today. They also learned how to line dance... Yeehaw, Blackbirds!


The Three Little Pigs: Mrs. Hoffmire's class worked in groups to build a house out of sticks. Each group received a mystery bag of sticks to build, using playdough and paper too. Then, the BIG BAD WOLF came to their doors. The squeals and celebration cheers were precious!

Yesterday, the Preschool class released their last Monarch. The butterfly wasn't quite ready to fly to Mexico, it decided to stick around Pettisville for just a bit longer!

PES held a Fun Friday kick-off assembly, with this year's theme focusing on Love, Dignity, and Respect. Thanks to Mrs. Saffell for encouraging our students to fill the cups of others with different actions throughout the year. Of course, we had a fun relay to end the morning!

At 12:54 p.m., an anonymous caller indicated that a possible shooter was in the district. We immediately locked down; officers were dispatched to the district. The district was given “all clear,” and afternoon classes resumed at approximately 1:30 p.m.

The Kindergarteners are learning about Apples this week and made applesauce yesterday. It's safe to say they enjoyed the fruits of their labor!
