Last week, Mrs. Hoffmire's kindergarten class rang in the new year and wrote goals for the year. Classroom volunteer Ella and Taylor were twinning in our new spirit shirts. It's a great day to be a Blackbird!

Due to a bus driver shortage, Tammy Burkholder's #5 bus will be about 30 min late tomorrow (Monday) morning. If you prefer to drive your student to school, please call and let the school know. Students who are riding this bus will not be counted as tardy. We will keep you informed if there are any changes in the afternoon route. We apologize for the late notice and any inconvenience this may cause.

We had quite a few staff members celebrate milestone birthdays over break! If you see them, make sure to wish them Happy 40th Birthdays 🥳 🥳 Coach J, Mrs. Hastings, & Mr. Mendoza!

Sending a big Blackbird thank you to Dennis, Denise, and Nicholas Heben. Dennis is a HS math teacher at Delta and a member of the Swanton Area Model Railroad Club. He volunteered to set this up for our kids and built it especially for our Polar Express-themed day! THANK YOU!

The 5th grade classes were recently challenged to collect donations for Christmas Cheer. If they met Mrs. Thompson's goal, they got to choose what she would dress up as. As you can imagine, those students met their goal, and Mrs. T shall now be known as Tinsel McSparkles.💚

Another awesome K-12 collaboration project. Mrs. Short's HS ag students helped Mrs. Aeschliman's KG students make Christmas gifts for their parents. Ag students measured & cut the snowmen. KG finger painted the faces. It's safe to say all ages LOVED this joint project. ⛄️

Mrs. Hoffmire's Sunshine Club is continuing to learn about Pettisville School community workers. Mrs. Lammers, our technology assistant, spreads sunshine by helping solve problems. She creates and updates the website, communicates information to our Blackbird families, and works on the Clevertouch, iPads, and Chromebooks when Mrs. H. can not solve the problems. What a great helper to our school, thanks Mrs. Lammers!

REMINDER: Today kicks off our K-12 Christmas spirit week! See you soon, Blackbirds!
