Congratulations to senior Gabe Beck and English teacher Miss Rebecca Dorosz. Gabe was selected as the Fulton County winner of the Franklin B. Walter Scholarship Award for his academic achievement and other criteria required for the scholarship. Gabe selected Miss Dorosz as his "honored teacher" for her positive impact on his high school career. Gabe and his family will be recognized at a state banquet later this year in Columbus with the other county winners.

Pettisville FFA welcomed a special guest on Thursday. Kameron Rinehart, an Ohio FFA Vice President at large, visited the chapter and gave presentations to ag classes about what FFA has to offer.
The junior high quiz teams traveled to the Fulton County tournament today. The 8th grade team brought home the Varsity trophy for the second year in a row. Congratulations to them!


The Business Management class took the Farm Business Management online CDE test on March 1st. They placed 1st in the district and 7th in the state.
The 8th graders visited Archbold Middle School to participate in Junior Achievement day. Local business partners shared Information on career choices, insurance, credit reports, and much more.

Congratulations to (left to right) Dominic Heising, Levi Myers, Andrew Hulbert, and Lyla Heising who competed in the middle school MathCounts competition on February 22nd at the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center. The four students came in 2nd as a team earning a trip to State competition on March 11th. As individuals, Levi took 1st place honors and Dominic came in 3rd place. Thank you to Mrs. Marla Miller for her classroom instruction and for her role as MathCounts coach.

Thursday is Food For America Day. The theme is "healthy foods." FFA members have researched the nutritional values of different foods and will make presentations to the elementary.
Wednesday is Farmer/Ag Career day. Dress like a farmer or other ag occupation.
Next week is National FFA week. To celebrate, the Pettisville FFA is having dress up days. Tuesday will be camo day. Wear your camouflage attire. You could dress like a tacky outdoor tourist.
The Pettisville FFA will host an all you care to eat pancake and sausage breakfast to celebrate FFA week on Wednesday, Feb. 22nd. The community is invited.
The Pettisville FFA Alumni will hold a hog roast on Saturday, Feb. 18th from 10:30-1:30 in the cafeteria. Science fair and the FFA Greenhand/Chapter ceremonies will also be held that day.
This evening, the high school quiz team clinched first place in the Northern Buckeye Academic League head-to-head competition, doing so with a decisive 11-0 overall record. This win qualifies them to move on to regionals for the first time in school history. Congratulations to all members of the quiz team and quiz coach, Miss Dorosz.
