Headphones are used on several occasions throughout classrooms in the elementary. The elementary provides a supply of “General Use” headphones. If you would like to purchase a personal set, they are available to purchase in the school office for $8.00. (Purchase is not required.)

Congratulations to the varsity soccer for their win at Bryan by a score of 3 to 0. The JV was defeated by Bryan

Congratulations to the varsity volleyball for their victory over the visiting Cadets from Hilltop. The Blackbirds won in three sets with scores of 25 to 18, 25 to 20, and 25 to 15. The JV lost to Hilltop in 2 sets. The 8th grade was defeated by Hilltop with the 7th grade winning.

Congratulations to Max Leppelmeier for qualifying as an individual for OHSAA District Golf Tournament at Stone Ridge in Bowling Green on Thursday, October 4. Max becomes the third golfer in Pettisville history and the first golfer in 17 years to qualify to the district tournament.

The Varsity Golf Team had the highest team finish at sectional tournament in school history. The Blackbirds shot a 349 (Max Leppelmeier 80, Tommy McWatters 84, Josh Horning 92, and Caleb Nafziger 93) to finish in fourth-place at Eagle Rock in the OHSAA Sectional Tournament. In addition to highest sectional finish, the Blackbirds finish the season with a first-ever BBC Tournament Championship, tied for the best overall BBC finish with a runner-up finish, and set a school record for match wins with 13.

The 5th & 6th graders visited Miller Brothers Construction and the Archbold Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The junior high golf match for today at Patriot Hills is cancelled. There will be no junior high golf practice

Elementary Running Club is cancelled for today, Tuesday, September 25

The cross country teams traveled to Liberty Center today. Top finishers for the Blackbirds: Logan Rufenacht led the boys with 4th place finish with a 16:56, Calvin Nofziger was 30th with an 18:36, and Caleb Nolander was 36th with an 18:46. Kate Stuber led the girls with a 7th place finish with a 20:15, Kelly Miller was 22nd with a 21:18, and Sarah Foor was 27th with a 21:40

The varsity golf team finished 3rd out 12 teams today at the Tinora Invitational at Eagle Rock Golf Club. Kalida finished first with 329. Liberty-Benton was second with 339 and the Blackbirds finished with a 340 to take 3rd place. Max Leppelmeier was 3rd place with a 79, Caleb Nafziger was tied for 7th place with an 82, Tommy McWatters was 11th with an 84, and Josh Horning was 30th with a 95 to round out the scoring.

The varsity volleyball team picked up two more wins today. The Blackbirds won in two over Edgerton 25-17 and 25 -13. The Blackbirds second win of the day was over Liberty Center in two with scores of 25-14 and 25-10.

The varsity soccer team picked a home win today over visiting Cardinal Stritch by a score of 5 to 0.

It is almost time for instrument try-outs here at Pettisville schools. We will be having instrument try-outs on September 17th from 3-5 pm, please have your student come to the band room during this time to try out an instrument.
