FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 13, 2023 At approximately 8:15 a.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023, Pettisville Schools' Bus #4 was involved in a two-vehicle accident on County Road AW and 21. Thankfully, everyone on the school bus was safe and incurred no major injuries. Our students’ safety is our highest priority, and we will continue to emphasize and practice bus safety. Pettisville Schools would like to commend this driver, and all bus drivers, for placing student safety as the number one priority when it comes to transporting our kids. Pettisville Schools would like to extend a thank you to the Archbold Fire Department, Archbold EMS, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, the Ridgeville Fire Department, and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office for their professionalism and support at the scene.

Mrs. Wixom's class has been reading about and researching various American landmarks. Last week, they collaborated with Mr. Waidelich‘s class, whose students helped 3-D print their American landmarks. Great job, Blackbirds!

We heard you, Pettisville Community. If you recall, a Community Recreation survey was sent out at the end of the summer season. We asked you questions about the Community Recreation programming ranging from what works, what needs to be improved upon, and what those improvements should look like. We read your responses, and we realized it was time to change our programming model. We are excited to announce that we will be looking for a Baseball Programming Coordinator and a Softball Programming Coordinator. These coordinators will help to build programming from the ground up, starting with our tee ball Blackbirds. Our programmers will coordinate registration, and scheduling, develop practice plans for each age level, and run each practice. They will vet coaching volunteers, and work with spring coaches to create a consistent, common, on-the-field language, and work to create a playbook for Blackbird softball and baseball. They will be present and committed to growing the skills and love of the game for each Blackbird. Please visit our community rec webpage for further Baseball Programming Coordinator and Softball Programming Coordinator duties. https://www.pettisvilleschools.org/page/community-recreation Looking forward to a new era in Community Recreation!
