REMINDER: Blackbird Students are invited to mash up their artistic skills with a favorite book/character and create an ornament for the Library's Christmas tree. These ornaments will become part of the Library’s decorations for years to come... a growing celebration of the stories we love and the readers who cherish them.
The contest is open to all students, preschool through 12th grade. Ornaments can be made from any material, but should be 5" or smaller. Please turn in ornaments to Mrs. Lammers no later than Friday, December 5th.
Staff will determine the winning ornaments from each grade, with prizes awarded before Christmas break.

REMINDER: We’re collecting items for Christmas Cheer this week, and we’ve added a little friendly competition to make it even more fun: The winning classroom in each division will take home the ultimate reward… A PIZZA PARTY! 🍕
🖤 PreK–6: Class competition by teacher homeroom
💛 7–12: Class competition by grade
Let’s fill those boxes, lift our community up, and show what Blackbird generosity looks like. Every item makes a difference... let’s do this together!

REMINDER: College Credit Plus Information Night ⚠️
Join us for an essential College Credit Plus Information Night on 11/24/25 @ 6pm in the auditorium. This mandatory session is critical for any student in grades 6-11 interested in earning FREE college credits while still in high school for the 2026-2027 school year. Both students AND parents must attend together. Don't miss this opportunity to invest in your student's future! A rep from Northwest State will be on-site to provide comprehensive information about the CCP program.
This presentation will include:
✓ Eligibility requirements and application procedures
✓ Course selection and scheduling options
✓ How CCP credits transfer to Ohio colleges and universities
✓ Academic expectations and support services
✓ Important deadlines you cannot miss
College Credit Plus offers an incredible opportunity to get a head start on college coursework at no cost to families. However, the application process has strict deadlines and specific requirements. Missing this informational session could jeopardize your student's ability to participate in the program for the upcoming academic year.
Whether your student is considering a two-year or four-year college path, CCP can save your family thousands of dollars in tuition while helping students earn their high school diploma and college degree simultaneously.
For questions, please contact the Counseling Office at: sroper@pettisvilleschools.org
We look forward to seeing you there!

Dough-not forget that your Krispy Kreme orders can be picked up today between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM in the Old Commons at the North end of the school (Door #21).
To help with traffic flow, please avoid the after-school pickup line between 2:45 and 3:15 PM. 🚗
Thank you for supporting @PettisvilleFCCLA — we donut know what we’d do without you! 😄
