Friday, Feb. 10 - Next week is National FCCLA week.  We would like to have you join us to celebrate this week by dressing up each day. Monday is Western day. Signs are posted in the hallway to let you know the days! Help us celebrate FCCLA week!

Morning activity period will be for FFA (officers and assistant officers only) - meet in foom 163. Student Council will meet in the theatre. 

Results from last night:  The varsity girls basketball team lost a close one to Stryker 39 to 43. The JV girls basketball team won 17 to 11.  The JV team finished 7-0 in the BBC finishing 1st in the JV girls team standings.  Congratulations! The varsity girls team now moves onto the sectional tournament.  The varsity girls will play Montpelier at Paulding High School on Wednesday, February 15, at approximately 7:30 pm.  It is the second game of the evening.

The JV and varsity boys host Stryker tonight and then travel to Wauseon tomorrow night. Tickets for the Wauseon game can be purchased at the door with a credit or debit card.  There will be NO cash sales.  The tickets can also be purchased ahead of time at wauseonsports.org.  The ticket link is in the upper right hand corner.


Thursday, Feb. 9 - 

High School students: The Art Club will be meeting today in the art room at 11:30. All are welcome so even if you were not able to come to the first meeting please feel free to join us this week.

JH FCA will meet in Mrs. Miller’s room at lunch today. Come and hear a good word from Senior Leah Beck.

Last night the high school varsity quiz team defeated Bryan in their highest scoring game of the season - 430-70.  The JV also won 380-20.

Congratulations to the Pettisville students who participated in the Fulton County Spelling Bee last night - Theodore Heising, Landon Clark, Zac Bergstedt, Carson Andres, and Kayden Dominique.  A special congratulations to Landon Clark who was the 5th grade county winner! 


Tuesday, Feb. 7 -

Musical rehearsal for tonight will be for Dorothy, Tinman, Scarecrow, and Lion only. Please meet in the old commons area.

The JV and varsity girls’ basketball teams lost in non-conference action to LC last evening. JV girls lost 27-32 and varsity girls lost 25-51.

The varsity and JV girls will travel to Stryker on Thursday, for the regular season finale. The JV game starts at 6pm and will only be 2 quarters. The varsity game will start a little earlier than normal on Thursday.

Last night in District I FFA Contests for Public Speaking, Ava Genter won the Creed Contest. Ella Richer was 4th in the Advanced Prepared Contest and Sophie Sterken was 11th in Extemporaneous Speaking. Each contest could have 14 speakers. The FFA Treasurer’s Book, Reporter’s Book and Secretary's Book all earned Gold ratings.


Monday, Feb. 6 - 

On Saturday, the high school quiz team traveled to Toledo for the annual Trash (pop culture) tournament.  Pettisville A finished the day as tournament runners up.  Pettisville C finished in 5th place in the championship bracket.  Pettisville B finished first in the second consolation bracket.  Two quizzers were named tournament all-stars - Kate Roth finished in 15th place overall, and Griffin Eash finished in 16th place overall.  Congrats to all of the participants!

Results from over the weekend On Friday, the varsity and jV boys basketball teams were victorious over Montpelier. The varsity boys won 42 to 27 and the JV boys won 26 to 20. On Saturday, the 7th and 8th grade boys both lost to North Central in the BBC Tournament Championship games. Congratulations on finishing as BBC Runner-up The freshman boys team picked up the win over Fayette 35 to 24.

The JV and varsity girls will host Liberty Center tonight in the last regular season home game with the JV game starting at 6:00 pm. Senior night will take place right after the JV game. Good luck tonight
