The JH quiz team lost a close match to Archbold yesterday by a score of 32-27. Top scorers for the 8th grade were Kayden Dominique with 7 points and Caleb Lako with 6 points. For the 7th grade, both Keegan Bird and Keren Maldonado scored 5 points each. The JH quiz team will take on swanton next Thursday.
This mornings’ activity period will be for class meetings.
Results from last night: The varsity and JV girls basketball team picked up BBC wins over host Montpelier. The varsity girls won 33 to 23 and the JV girls won 26 to 21.
The varsity and JV boys host Montpelier tonight starting at 6:00 pm. The freshman boys host Fayette tomorrow at 10:00 am. The 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams will be playing in the BBC Championship games vs. North Central at Stryker High School tomorrow morning. The 7th grade championship game starts at 9:00 am followed by the 8th grade championship game. JH ticket prices are $5 for adults and $4 for students. Good luck!

There will be a student council meeting at lunch today to plan for the junior high dance. Please meet in the theater. Junior high student council can come directly after eating, high school can bring their lunches to the theater.

In high school quiz action last night the varsity team lost to Evergreen by just 5 points. They also fell to Napoleon. The JV team defeated Evergreen 250-45

Last night at the Fulton County FFA Public Speaking contest, 4 members competed. In the Creed Contest, Ava Genter placed 1st and Courtney Wiemken was 3rd. They both had gold ratings. Sophie Sterken placed 1st in Extemporaneous Speaking with a gold rating. Ella Richer placed 1st in Advanced Prepared Speaking with a gold rating. The District Contest is Monday.
Results from last night: The 9th grade boys defeated visiting Swanton 29 to 21. The 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams won their BBC Semi-final match-ups last night at Stryker.
The 7th grade boys defeated Fayette 40 to 27. The 8th grade boys defeated Edon 34 to 31.
The Blackbirds move onto the championship games to play North Central on Saturday at Stryker. The 7th grade championship game will start at 9:00 AM followed by the 8th grade championship.

FCCLA will be doing flower and crush pop orders the next two weeks in the atrium. Flowers and crush pop will be delivered on February 14th. Please stop by the table and grab a form, fill it out and return with money. Thanks for supporting FCCLA!
Results from over the weekend: On Friday, varsity and JV boys basketball teams both won at Edon. The varsity boys won 44 to 32 and the JV boys won 34 to 6. On Saturday, the varsity and JV boys lost to visiting Ayersville. The varsity boys lost 40 to 49 and the JV boys lost 26 to 39. At the Junior High Boys BBC Tournament on Saturday, the 7th and 8th grade boys were both victorious in their quarter-final match-ups. The 7th grade defeated Edon 43 to 24 and the 8th grade defeated Montpelier 26 to 19. Both teams will play today at Stryker High School at 5:00 pm in the BBC Semi-finals. The 7th grade boys will play Fayette in Stryker’s JH gym at 5:00 pm. The 8th grade boys will play Edon in Stryker’s high school gym at 5:00 pm. The JH boys bus will depart at 3:50 pm for Stryker. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students. Good luck!
