Friday, Sept. 30 - 

One pint of blood can save up to three lives.  Your donation is greatly needed. There is still time to sign up to give blood this coming Wednesday, October 5. Invite family and neighbors to sign up, as well. To sign up you must be 16 or older and at least 110 pounds. Both FFA soils teams qualified for state competition. The Urban team's top 3 were: Ava Gener, Cayden Jacoby, and Courtney Wiemken. They placed 2nd in District 1.  The Rural team’s top 3 were: Olivia Miller, Kelsey Bennett and Caden Bishop. The placed 5th.

The Pumpkinfest, sponsored by the Pettisville FFA Alumni and Friends group, is Friday, Oct. 7th. Grades 4-7 can sign up for the 3 on 3 basketball contest using the sign-up sheets located in the office, or online or in Mr. Poulson’s room. Grades 4-12 can sign up for the 6 on 6 dodgeball tournament using the same sign up sheets, or online, or in Mr. Poulson’s room. Dodgeball is co-ed teams with no more than 4 boys on a team.  There are no substitutes. The cost is $5/person. The prizes are t-shirts. Sign up and pay by 3:15 on Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Today we will be operating on the Picnic in the Park schedule. Everyone will need to be back to the school by 12:10pm, as 5th period will begin at 12:15. 

Congratulations to the varsity golf team for advancing to the District Golf Tournament with their 2nd place finish at the Sectional Tournament yesterday with a score of 348.  

Jack Leppelmeier 79; Blayn Meck 82; Creighton Aeschliman 90; Sam Myers 97; Caden Bishop 99. The Blackbirds will play on Thursday, October 6, at Stone Ridge Golf Club in the District Tournament. 

The volleyball teams picked up BBC wins at Edon. The varsity won in 3 sets 25-23, 25-9, 26-24. The JV won in 3 sets 20-25, 25-25, 26-24.

The varsity soccer team lost to Swanton 2 to 0. The JV played to a 1 to 1 tie.  Chase Wilkie scored for the Blackbirds.

The JH volleyball teams split with Edon. The 7th grade lost in 3 sets 27-25, 25-27, 19-25. The 8th grade won in 2 sets 25-21, 25-18.


Thursday, Sept. 29 - 

JV/Varsity Cheerleaders, who have completed Final Forms for Cheer will having a meeting during lunch today  in room 150.

Wednesday, Sept. 28 - 

JV/Varsity Cheerleaders will having a meeting during lunch on Thursday in room 150.

FCA will be held in study hall today.

The JV and varsity volleyball teams made it a clean sweep over Fayette last night. The varsity won in 3 sets 25-11, 25-5, 25-12. The JV won in 2 sets 25-8, 25-4.

The varsity soccer team defeated Northwood 7 to 1. Pettisville Goals: Sean Adkins 2, Joey Ripke 1, Ellie Grieser 1, Quinn Ripke 1.

The 8th grade volleyball team won at Fayette in 2 sets: 25-19, 25-13.

The JH golf team won the BBC Jamboree at Patriots Hills with a score of 186.


Tuesday, Sept. 27

Last night the high school opened their season in the Toledo Area League with a match against Bowling Green.  After being down 25-115 at the half, the varsity team held BG to just 30 points in the second half and came back to win 215-145. The JV team was also victorious with a final score of 335-75

There will be a student council meeting during high school lunch in the theater. JH can come when finished eating. High school can join right when getting your lunches.  See you in the theater!

All are welcome to come to the annual “See you at the Pole” tomorrow before school at 7:30 by the flagpole. There will be worship and prayer.  All community folks are invited. We hope to see you there!

Results from Saturday: The varsity soccer team played to a 0-0 tie with Liberty Center.

The JV soccer team won 2 to 1 on goals from Chase Wilkie and Keegan Wyse. 

-The varsity girls cross country team finished in 3rd place at the Liberty Center Invite.

The varsity boys team finished in 8th place. The JH boys finished in 10th place.

-The varsity volleyball team lost to Liberty Center in 2 sets and lost to Edgerton in two sets.

The JV team won over Liberty Center in 3 sets and lost to Edgerton in 3 sets.

Results from last night: The junior high soccer team defeated Emmanuel Christian 6 to 2.  Goals: Kayden Dominique 2, Alex Galvin 2, Jake Wonderly 1, Casin Nofziger 1.

The 7th grade volleyball team lost to Evergreen in 2 sets.

Monday, Sept. 26 - 

There will be girls' basketball open gym tonight from 6:30-8 for girls in grades 5-12.
