The fifth issue of the Pet Echoes was released yesterday and it’s a pretty exciting one! It is full of fun activities and quizzes, some of which you can receive prizes for completing! Make sure to look at the articles and activities to participate in them, and possibly win some cool prizes!

Results from last night:  The 7th and 8th grade boys both lost close games in the BBC semi-finals last night.  The 7th grade boys lost to Edon 21 to 23 and the 8th grade boys lost to Holgate 27 to 30. The freshman boys lost to host Delta 19 to 32.

Monday, Jan. 31 -

Results from over the weekend:  On Friday, The JV boys lost to Edon 28 to 33. The varsity boys team picked up the BBC win over Edon 36 to 35. The 7th grade girls lost in the BBC semi-finals to Holgate 17 to 26. The 7th grade and 8th grade boys are both moving onto the BBC semi-finals.  The 7th grade boys won 36 to 32 over Holgate and the 8th grade boys won 49 to 16 over Fayette.

The JV and varsity boys lost both games at Ayersville Saturday night. The JV team lost 8 to 45 and the varsity team lost 38 to 61.

Wednesday night at Evergreen High School four FFA members participated in the Fulton County Public speaking contests. Placing 3rd in the FFA Creed was Savannah Smith. Placing 3rd in the beginning Prepared Contest was Mina Wesche. Placing 1st and 2nd in the Advanced Prepared Contest were Ella Richer and Allison Salmi, respectively. On Thursday three officers received Gold Ratings on their officer books. They were Reporter, Emma Salmi with the scrapbook. Secretary, Luke Van Den Berghe with the Secretary’s Book and Delana Damman with the Treasurer’s Book.  State FFA Degree applications were verified for Clara Damman and Karsen Pursel and American FFA Degree applications were verified for Andrew Hulbert and Grace Schnitkey. The degree applications will be sent to state evaluation.
