Together Pettisville Week

Each year in October, we have a week devoted to promoting positive choices and decisions.  The focus is for students to think about how they treat others, themselves, their community, and their school.  #TogetherPettisville is how we make our school better.

A theme is picked for each day.

Monday: “Together Pettisville, we choose to be…healthy.”  A healthy outside starts on the inside. Monday we chose to be healthy and we wore pajamas to school.

Tuesday: “Together Pettisville, we choose to be…a team player.”  There is no I in team. On Tuesday we chose to be team players so we wore our favorite team's  jersey.

Wednesday: “Together Pettisville, we choose to be…respectful. We don’t need to share the same opinion as others, but we need to be respectful.  On Wednesday we chose to be respectful by wearing a different school's shirt.

Thursday: “Together Pettisville, we choose to be…positive.”  A positive mindset brings positive things. Thursday we chose to be positive, so we wore tie-dye.

Friday: "Together Pettisville, we choose to be...proud."  On Friday we were choosing to be proud of Pettisville so we wore our Pettisville Blackbird gear.

*A big THANK YOU to all of the business sponsors and Athletic Boosters who provided Blackbird T-shirts for each student and staff member*

A challenge was given to students to write one to three ways they are actively living out the themes from Monday through Thursday.  Winners were chosen on Friday.
