Friday, Oct. 29 - 

FCA invites you to participate in Operation Christmas Child. Collect a Christmas box and fill it with small or large Christmas gifts for a certain age and gender. See any FCA leader or Scott Rupp to receive a box or if you have any questions.  All boxes need to be turned in by November 10th.

FCA is hosting a bonfire for students in grades 9-12 on November 4 at 7:00pm behind Pettisville Missionary Church. We will have food and worship.  If it rains, we will meet in the church. Hope to see you there!

Mrs. Dadisman’s classes will report to study hall today – EXCEPT the 7th grade English class in 8th period only. Periods 1-7 should report to study hall with your Chromebooks and check Google Classroom.  Mrs. Dadisman’s 8th period English 7 class will report to her classroom.

This morning’s Activity Period will be for class meetings.

FCCLA members:  Please go to Ms. Litogot’s room on Friday at 11:35. We will be handing out the fundraiser forms. Junior high members, please come to Ms. Litogots room at 11:25. 

Attention all 3rd period study hall students:  Please report to the Study Hall, NOT Mr. Switzer’s room, for study hall.

Good luck to the cross country runners tomorrow morning at the OHSAA Regional meet in Tiffin. The varsity girls’ team will run at 9:00am. Zach McWatters will follow in the boys’ race at 10:00am. All tickets will be sold online. Tickets are $10 before 6:00am on Saturday. After 6:00, the tickets will be $12.

 Boys’ basketball players in grades 9-12 are reminded to be dressed and ready for practice at 5:00pm today.

Thursday, Oct. 28 - 

“Together Pettisville, we choose to be…positive.”  A positive mindset brings positive things.  Today’s challenge is to write down 1-3 ways you were positive.  Tomorrow we are choosing to be Pettisville proud. Wear your Blackbird gear.

The girls’ cross country team will run in the OHSAA regional race at 9:00am this Saturday in Tiffin. Zach McWatters will then run at 10:00am in the boys’ regional race. All tickets will be sold online. The tickets are $10 before 6:00am on Saturday. After 6:00, the tickets will be $12.

Wednesday, Oct. 27 - 

“Together Pettisville, we choose to be…respectful. We don’t need to share the same opinion as others, but we need to be respectful. Today’s challenge is to write down 1-3 ways you were respectful. Tomorrow we are choosing to be positive. Wear tye-dye.

FCCLA would like to remind everyone of the school-wide contest that is still going on. We have extended the contest to run through the entire first semester. Save your pop tabs! Tabs can be from any can that has a tab: soup, cat/dog food, pop, etc. The tabs will go to the Ronald McDonald House in Toledo. JH/HS vs. Elementary will compete for an awesome prize. Does your family camp? Ask your friends at the campground to save tabs too! Do your parents work in a large company? Ask them to save tabs in the break room! Tuesday, Oct. 26 - 

“Together Pettisville, we choose to be…a team player.”  There is no I in team. Today’s challenge is to write down 1-3 ways you were a team player. Tomorrow we are choosing to be respectful. Wear another school’s shirt.

Last night the HS quiz team opened the Toledo Area League with a match against Tiffin Columbian. The varsity team lost in a close match determined by the final question with a score of 195-215 and the JV team won 245-65. Good luck to them as they continue league play next Monday.

Monday, Oct. 25 - 

“Together Pettisville, we choose to be…healthy.”  A healthy outside starts on the inside. Today’s challenge is to write down 1-3 ways you were healthy today.  Tomorrow, we are choosing to be a team player. Wear your favorite team’s jersey or shirt.

Congratulations to the girls’ cross country team for winning the District championship on Saturday at Leaders Farms. 4th – Grace Remington; 6th – Kendall Sears; 16th – Sophie Sterken; 19th – Madison Remington; 25th – Elise Hoylman; 26th – Renee Hoylman; 42nd – Emily VanDenBerghe.  The girls’ team will move onto the regional race at Tiffin starting at 9:00 on Saturday, Oct. 30.

The boys’ cross country team placed 4th. Congratulations to Zach McWatters finishing in 10th place qualifying him for the regional race at Tiffin starting at 10:00 on Saturday, Oct. 30.

In the sectional final at Genoa, the soccer team was defeated by Genoa by a score of 3-0.

There will be a meeting during lunch in the study hall today for boys’ basketball players in grades 9-12. Please bring your lunch.
