Next week is “Together Pettisville we choose to be…” To start off next week, choose to be healthy and wear pajamas. There will be daily challenges. Once you fill out a challenge form, you can drop it in the box for a chance at a prize.
Good luck to the soccer team and the cross country teams this weekend. The cross country teams will compete at the District Cross Country meet tomorrow at Leaders Farms. The varsity girls will run at 9:40 and the varsity boys will run at 11:10. All tickets must be purchased online on the OHSAA ticket site. Tickets are $8 until 6:00am Saturday morning. After 6:00, the ticket price will increase to $10.

Congratulations to the varsity soccer team for their 7 to 1 victory over Swanton last night in the sectional semi-finals. Zakkai Kaufmann and Carlos Bowers each scored 3 goals and Quinn Wyse scored 1. The soccer team will travel to Genoa High School for the sectional final on Saturday, October 23, starting at 4:00pm. Results from last night: The varsity volleyball team was defeated by Edgerton in 4 sets in the sectional semi-finals.

There will be no Pettisville season passes, senior citizen passes, or league passes accepted. All tickets will be sold online at ohsaa.org/tickets. Tickets are $8 online until 1:00pm today. Attention all students. Wednesday afternoon, the FFA is promoting safety in the agriculture industry through an outdoor session in the south parking lot. During the fall harvest season, we all need to protect each other and our agriculture neighbors on the roads and in the fields. After taking attendance at the beginning of 5th period, the 7th, 11th, and 12th grade students are to go to the south lot. You will then split into smaller groups and move about the equipment. At one point, you will be asked to go view a demonstration done by the Ohio State Grain Rescue. You will then return to classes for 7th period. After reporting to 7th period, the 8th, 9th, and 10th grade classes will go to the south lot. You will then split into smaller groups and move about the equipment. At one point, you will be asked to go view a demonstration done by the Ohio State Grain Rescue Team. You will return to the school at 3:00pm.

Congratulations to the varsity girls’ cross country team for winning the BBC Championship on Saturday at Montpelier. 1st team BBC: 3rd place - Grace Remington; 4th place - Kendall Sears; 6th place - Madison Remington; 2nd team BBC: 8th place - Sophie Sterken; 10th place - Renee Hoylman; 11th place - Elise Hoylman 25:04 Honorable-Mention; 19th place - Emily VanDenBerghe.
The varsity boys placed 3rd. 1st team BBC: 7th place – Zach McWatters; 2nd team BBC: 14th place – Jayden Bleikamp Honorable-Mention; 15th place – Caden Bishop; 20th place – Carlos Bowers
The JH girls finished in 3rd place: 5th place – Leah Roth.

Congratulations to the 8th grade volleyball team for winning the BBC Tournament at Stryker. The Blackbirds defeated Montpelier, North Central, and Stryker to claim the championship.
High School Quiz practice for tomorrow morning is canceled. Practice will be Wednesday at 7:15.
