Shout out to the juniors who will be seniors!!

Attention High School band members:  This Sunday, the call for graduation is at 1:45. Please meet in the band room at 1:45 for warm-up.

On Monday, Memorial Day, the band will meet at 10:30am in the band room for the parade and ceremony. See you then!

Forms for girls going to the Findlay basketball camp are due to Mr. Waldvogel today. Please see him if you cannot get the form in today.

If you have lunch charges, please take care of them before the end of the school year.  Thanks for taking care of this matter.  I’m sure the lunch cashiers will really appreciate it.

Congratulations to the girls 4 x 800 meter relay team of Elizabeth Sauder, Nichole Foor, Kate Stuber, and Morgan Leppelmeier for their third place finish last night at Tiffin.  This qualifies them for the state track meet next Friday at Jesse Owen’s Memorial Stadium at the Ohio State University.

There will be boys’ basketball open gym and lifting today after school in the junior high gym. 

Attention junior high track team members: there will be a junior high track pizza at the Pettisville Park by the track tonight from 4:00 to 5:30pm.  If you have not turned in your uniform, please turn it in to the coaches at the party.

If you have lunch charges, please take care of them before the end of the school year.  Thanks for taking care of this matter.  I’m sure the lunch cashiers will really appreciate it.

All newly elected FCCLA officers for next year, junior and senior chapters, need to meet in Mrs. Bacon’s room at lunch to talk about next year’s upcoming events.

Have you ordered your Lariat yet?  Yearbook receipts and reminders were sent home on Tuesday.  Please check to see that you ordered one!  We want to make sure you get to enjoy these memories for years to come.  You can order by picking up a form in the office or from Mrs. Dadisman or by simply going to jostensyearbooks.com  Order your memories today!

There will be a meeting today at lunch in the library for all girls in grades 7-11 playing basketball next year.  If you cannot be there, see Coach Waldvogel.

There will be a boys’ basketball meeting for boys’ in grades 8 through 11 today after school in room 150.  Open gym will follow in the varsity gym.

State Science Day Sponsored Awards were posted online yesterday by the Ohio Academy of Science.  The following Pettisville students received sponsored awards:

*OSU Stone Lab Scholarship (covers room/meals for one week at Stone Lab on Lake Erie) - Kayla Wyse and Jordan Skates

*OSU Plant Pathology Scholarship for $500 to Kayla Wyse

*Behavioral Science Award 1st place and $150 cash to Josh Bock

*David J Horn Stone Lab Entomology Scholarship - cover tuition, room & board, plus lab fees to attend "Intro to Insects" field course at Stone Lab on Lake Erie was given to Kayla Wyse

*Soil & Water Conservation Award 1st place and $200 to Jordan Skates

*Peter G Finke Water Management Award 1st place and $250 cash to Jordan Skates

*Bobcat Tuition Scholarship in Biological Sciences to Ohio University $500 to Kayla Wyse; Jordan Skates 2nd alternate

In regular judging:

*Jordan Skates and Kayla Wyse received superior ratings and Josh Bock received an excellent rating.

Seniors:  Wear your senior shirts on Thursday for the assembly.  Friday, senior girls need to be here at 9:00.  Meet in the JH gym.

Results from Saturday’s District Track Meet at Archbold:

*Zach Morrison placed 3rd in the pole vault which qualifies him for the Regional Track Meet at Tiffin on Wednesday.

The girls track team finished as the team district runner-up on Saturday.  The following girls will move on to the regional track meet in Tiffin as well:

*Grace Schnitkey was third in discus.

*The 4 x 200 team of Grace Schnitkey, Ryeana Klopfenstein, Sarah Herring, and Kendal Pursel finished third.

*Elizabeth Sauder was first in the 1600 followed by Nichole Foor in second place.

*The 4 x 100 team of Grace Schnitkey, Danielle King, Sarah Herring, and Kendal Pursel finished third.

*Morgan Leppelmeier finished second in the 400 meter run with a time of 60.87 breaking Brady Avina’s school record from 2009.

*Elizabeth Sauder finished first in the 800 meter run.

*Nichole Foor was first in the 3200 meter run followed by Kate Stuber in second.

*The 4 x 400 team of Elizabeth Sauder, Sarah Foor, Nichole Foor, and Morgan Leppelmeier finished second.

Congratulations to the softball team and baseball team for their victories over Fayette on Friday.

The baseball team won 11-1 over Fayette in five innings. The softball team pulled out the win in extra innings.  Mackenzie Morgan had the walk-off base hit in the bottom of the 9th inning to give the Blackbirds the 4 -3 win.

There will be a high soccer player/parent meeting tonight in the theater at 7:00pm.  If you cannot attend, please contact Coach Wyse.

There will be volleyball open gym tonight for girls in grades 7-11 from 7:15-8:45 tonight.
