Voting will take place today in FCCLA activity period for next year’s officers.  Please consider being an officer. We are excited to have new ideas that we can do for FCCLA next year!

Pettisville Schools has summer positions available for high school students. If you have an interest in a position for the summer, stop into the office and submit your name to the superintendent, Mr. Boyer, by May 14.

Auditions are being held for the 2021-2022 season of Noteworthy. All students enrolled in high school choir next year are eligible to audition. See Mr. Beck to schedule an audition time.

We are in need of several sophomores to help serve the prom meal on Saturday, May 8. Please see Mr. Beck if you are able to help or if you have any questions.

Mrs. Frazer’s 1st, 3rd, and 5th period classes should report to study hall today. 1st and 3rd period assignments can be found on Google Classroom, so be sure to take your chromebooks. Mrs. Richer will have the assignment in study hall for the geography class. Also, remember to take your chromebooks.

Attention girls in grades 8-12 interested in playing basketball next year. There will be a meeting today at lunch in room 150. Please bring your lunch.

Today’s Activity Period will be for FCCLA – meet in the theatre and Quiz – meet in the study hall.

Results from last night:  The varsity softball team lost to Edon 19 to 11. The varsity baseball team lost to Edon 9 to 6.

Good luck to the softball team and baseball team tonight vs. Edon at home starting at 5:00 pm.

Good luck to the varsity track teams tomorrow at the Ayersville Invitational.

Thursday, April 22 - 

Last week, two FFA Career Development teams tested in their events. The Ag Mechanics Skills Team placed 6th in our district with Carson Bennett, Andrew Hulbert and Blake Eyer. Carson was 6th place individual.  The Vet Science Team led by Kearsten Zuver, 5th place, and Sophie Sterken, 6th place, placed 2nd in the district and 9th in the state. Clara Damman and Lauren Shumaker rounded out the team.  This week, the Outdoor Power Team placed 7th in the district with team members Andrew Hulbert, Blake Eyer and Luke VanDenBerghe.

Over the weekend, Sophie Sterken, Leah Roth, Hannah Huddle and Kate Roth took part in the Ohio Music Education Association’s Virtual Solo and Ensemble Event. All 4 received the highest rating of 1 for exceptional and outstanding performance. Please help us in congratulating them on their achievements.

The junior high track teams competed with Hilltop, North Central, and Montpelier last night.  The girls finished second. Girls’ team scores: Montpelier 96, Pettisville 54, Hilltop 31, and North Central 22.  The boys finished first.  Pettisville 77, Montpelier 68, Hilltop 25, North Central 18.  The 4 x 200 relay team of Bowers, Graffice, Parks, and Jones set a new school record with a time of 1:44.3 breaking the previous by 7 seconds.

The varsity track meet at Montpelier tonight has been cancelled.  There will be no varsity and JH track practice tonight. Softball practice will be after school in the JH gym.
