Today is the last day to locate all the Mini Mr. Wagner’s lurking upstairs. We are still missing around 15 of them. Have you checked all the classroom posters? Have you checked behind your locker signs? Brantley and Trey have requested to take the poster home so we need to make sure they have a complete set to hang on their wall.

Good morning, Blackbirds! Take a moment to think about a teacher, staff member, or coach who has encouraged you recently. Take 30 seconds today to write them a quick note or say thanks before you leave their room. There will be a way to also do this at lunch - stop by the table to fill out your note! Appreciating others keeps our flock grounded.

Also, as you enjoy your long weekend, carry that Blackbird Spirit of Kindness and Connection into your neighborhood and community. Once a Blackbird, always a Blackbird!

If you volunteered to help the elementary students fill out their notes during lunch, AA or 5th period, please see one of the Counselors during lunch!

Also, Tomorrow is the last day of Flock Together Month! Today, let's flood the hallways with high fives, smiles, and positive vibes. Thank you for making our school a place where everyone feels welcome.

Good Morning Blackbirds! It’s Benchmark & Blackbird Future exploration day!

    * Today there will be testing upstairs so please be mindful of this in the halls for upper classmen moving around.

    * There are schedules hanging up around the schools with where to be, what groups you are in and where to go. If you forget, please check out one of the schedules on the walls around the school.

    * Juniors & Seniors-  For today’s sessions whether you already have a set plan after high school or are still figuring out your next steps, we encourage everyone to make the most of these opportunities today! Ask questions, gather information, know what’s out there. You never know what program, scholarship, or pathway might spark your interest! And give them a great Blackbird welcome!

    * Freshman- This afternoon you will also get to meet several college reps from UT! Make the most of these opportunities! Let this inspire you and show you what may be out there for you!

Juniors & Seniors see Mrs Roper if you have a question about today’s schedule. She should be around in the hallways.

Any Junior or Senior who is signed up for ONE FLOCK activities with the elementary stop by the counseling office to find out where to go. Meet one of the counselors or look after lunch for your assignments outside the counseling office door on the wall by today’s schedule.

Today’s challenge-  Positive energy isn't just about how we treat others—it's also about how we treat ourselves. Today's reminder: be kind to yourself, work hard, and take pride in being a part of this school. You belong here!

Monday -

Tomorrow is our Benchmark / Future Day. Students in grades 7th, 8th, and 10th will be taking the state’s benchmark assessments in Math and ELA. 9th grade will test in Algebra I. Students testing should be reminded to bring their fully charged chromebooks to school tomorrow. Students not testing will rotate through multiple sessions throughout the day. Mr. Wagner sent a google form to students who can choose certain sessions. If you did not fill this form out, do so before lunchtime today, or you will be automatically placed in a session. Mr. Wagner will send your schedule to you via email today.

Has anyone seen Mr. Wagner today? If you have looked REALLY close, you might have already seen a few of the 120 photos of him around the school hiding as we wish him a very happy PRINCIPAL APPRECIATION MONTH! Check your lockers. Check the hallways. Check the classrooms. His photo is lurking in lots of fun places in the upstairs hallway. As you find the photos, please remove the photo and its dotted number and place it on the yellow poster outside of Mr. Bishop’s classroom. Can we find all 120 today?

Oh, and before month ends, don’t be afraid to write Mr. Wagner a note or email OR give him a high five or fistbump to thank him for his leadership in his principal role here at Pettisville.
