Announcements - Week of 9/28/2020

Friday, Oct. 2 - 

Today’s Activity Period will be for class meetings. 7th & 8th graders meet in your homerooms; Freshmen meet in the study hall; Sophomore meet in the JH gym; Juniors meet in the varsity gym; Seniors meet in the band room.  Juniors & Seniors – Please bring chromebooks to class meetings today.

Attention high school theatre class:  Please plan to wear comfortable clothes next week. We will be working on stage falling, punching, fighting, and sword-fighting.

High School soccer players will have practice today from 4:30-5:30.

Art students with pumpkins need to check in with Mr. Poulson to tell him your pumpkin is here. Be sure your name is on the pumpkin bottom and it is displayed on the café pumpkin tables.

The golf won their first sectional championship with a score of 312 at Ironwood.  Tommy McWatters was medalist with a 2 under par 70.  Max Leppelmeier 73, Caleb Nafziger 82, Jake King 87.  The golf team moves onto the district tournament at Stone Ridge in Bowling Green next Thursday.

The varsity soccer team lost a close match to Ottawa Hills 1 to 0.  The JV team lost 3 to 0.

The varsity volleyball team lost in four sets to North Central 19-25, 11-25, 25-21, 16-25.  The JV lost in two sets 21-25, 17-25. The 7th and 8th grade teams both won over North Central.  The 7th grade won in two sets 25-8 and 25-20.  The 8th grade won in two sets 25-20 and 25-22.

 The junior high golf team won the jamboree at Riverside Greens with a score of 192.

Attention boys in grades 7-12 interested in playing basketball this year. For those interested in purchasing shoes, there will be a shoe sizing on Monday, Oct. 5 in the gym. You will receive an email this weekend with a flyer and additional information. If you have any questions, please see Coach Leppelmeier.


Thursday, Oct. 1 -

Wednesday, Sept. 30 - 

The JH FCA Huddle will meet today in Mrs. Miller’s room during lunch. Please eat your food in the cafeteria and then come for a time of fellowship together.

The varsity soccer team picked up the TAAC win over Northwood by a score of 4 to 1. Quinn Wyse, Zakkai Kaufmann, Alec Rychener, and Joey Ripke scored for Pettisville. Assists: Quinn Wyse 2, Zakkai Kaufmann 2.

The junior high golf team won the BBC Jamboree at Patriot Hills. Pettisville 182, Montpelier 209, Hilltop 212, Stryker 222.

Tuesday, Sept. 29 - 

Mrs. Dadisman’s morning classes today should report to study hall.  Check Google Classroom for your assignment. Mrs. Dadisman’s afternoon classes will have a substitute in her regular room.

Thank you to those art students who picked up their pumpkins for the Pettisville FFA alumni auction.

Other pumpkins are still in the Ag shop, ready for pick up.  The painted pumpkins should come back this Friday afternoon, Oct 2nd for the alumni to select the cash prize winners.  Then all pumpkins get donated to the pumpkin fest auction. The auction will happen online through Facebook the week of October 5th.  If there are any other students who want to sign up for a pumpkin and are not in art class, please see Mr. Poulson. 

The junior high soccer team picked up the win over visiting Emmanuel Christian last evening by a score of 4 to 0. Jayden Bleikamp 2 goals, Quinn Ripke 1 goal, Mason Wyse 1 goal.

The varsity volleyball team lost to Edgerton in four sets with scores of 25-16, 19-25, 17-25, and 21-25. The JV volleyball team won in two sets over Edgerton 25-18 and 25-19.

Monday, Sept. 28 - 

Mrs. Dadisman’s English classes are to report to study hall today. Look for your assignment in Google Classroom.

7th grade volleyball practice is cancelled for today. Junior high golf practice is cancelled for today.

The varsity soccer team secured the victory over Liberty Center on Saturday 2 to 1.  Blake Eyer and Zakkai Kaufmann scored on assists from Harley Crossgrove. The JV team was defeated 3 to 0.

The varsity volleyball team lost in 4 sets to Liberty Center 25-19, 22-25, 10-25, and 16-25. The JV team lost in two sets 13-25 and 17-25.

The varsity golf team finished second to Kalida at the 16 team Tinora Invitational on Saturday.  Kalida 326 and Pettisville 327.  Tommy McWatters 73, Max Leppelmeier 76, Caleb Nafziger 84, Levi Myers 94.
