Wednesday

“Good Morning Blackbirds! We are so glad you are back! You were missed. Remember that every new school year is a fresh start. Take deep breaths, set small goals and give yourself grace! And let it soar this year!”

Today we will be running on a special schedule. Listen carefully to hear where your rotation is. Immediately following attendance, you will be dismissed to your first session: 7th grade will begin in the HS gym with Mr. Wagner. 8th grade will begin in the JH gym with our club advisors, and our Freshmen will begin in room 150 with Mrs. Roper. After the first session, your session leader will tell you where your next session is. After the 3rd session, we will start with 1st period. Refer to the week at a glance for the entire schedule for today.

Fall play auditions are coming up Monday, August 24 from 7:00-8:30 PM in the Theatre! Stop in Mrs. Dixon’s room (203) to pick up an audition packet for this year’s double feature, Whole Latte Love and Cafe Murder. Not ready for the stage just yet? There is also a crew application packet available–we’ve got something for everyone to do in the Theatre Department, and we’d love to have you involved! See or email Mrs. Dixon with any questions.

Ms Litogot is in need of your projects from last year for the FCCLA fair booth. If you sewed a project, please bring it in. I will be emailing you if I have one of your class projects and am taking it. You will receive $5.00 for an A and have the opportunity to purchase a fair pass for $1.00 (if you are older than 16).

Please give your items to Ms Litogot by August 31st.

Attention Students- This Saturday, August 22nd from 2-6 p.m. in the South lot is Blackbird Fest! This is a fundraiser put on by the freshmen class. All students, family members, and community are welcome to attend. There will be inflatables, games, a 9-hole putt-putt course, food, and of course a Dunk Tank. Also, there will be a Wiffle Ball and Kickball tournament going on! Students that are interested in participating in either tournament can pick up a registration form in the main office. Forms are due back to the office by the end of the school day on Friday. Wiffle ball is 4 on 4 and Kickball is 5 on 5. Both are $20 a team. Both tournaments will be going simultaneously, so you can only play in ONE tournament.
