Happy Retirement, Ron! Today we celebrate the man who’s kept this place running like a well-oiled machine — quite literally! From climbing the windmill (without breaking a sweat), to greasing gears, fixing anything with a motor, mowing perfect stripes in the lawn, and everything in between — Mr. Burkholder has done it all with a smile. He’s been our go-to handyman and all-around problem-solver, and we can’t thank him enough for the countless ways he’s made our school better (and brighter). Your hard work, humor, and dedication have left a lasting mark. We hope your next chapter is filled with plenty of rest, relaxation, and maybe just a little tinkering... we know you can’t sit still for long!

We would like to congratulate Naomi Richer for being awarded All-Ohio Honorable-Mention.  Naomi will be playing in the state all-star match at Wooster High School this Sunday, November 16th at 11:00 AM.  Congratulations Naomi!

There will be a meeting at lunch today in Room 150 for volleyball players in grades 9 through 12.

Attention students! Looking for a fun new challenge? The Pettisville Archery team is getting ready to start up! No experience needed! Come learn to shoot, compete, and be a part of a great team! If you’re interested in learning this new sport, sign up in the office by Thursday, November 13th. There will be an informal meeting during lunch on Monday November 17th in room 150. Take your shot and join the Pettisville Blackbirds archery team!

There will be an NHS meeting for senior members today during academic assist in Mrs. Planson’s room.

High School students - please get your homecoming votes in TODAY by 3:00pm.

FCCLA friends:  Great job selling doughnuts! Remember tomorrow Weds is donut day! Make sure you come to the Old commons to pick up your doughnut orders! We will be there from 1:30-5:30!  Also.. If you have not dropped off a permission note and money for your hot dog or pizza, please get it turned in by Wednesday.

Following the morning announcements and attendance, all JH and HS students and staff are to report to the HS gym for the Veteran’s Day program. 

Grades 9-12:  Please remember to nominate for your grade’s homecoming escort and attendant by 3:00pm today. Nominations will be narrowed down to the top nominees. A voting form will be sent out Wednesday morning.

Take advantage of the Blackbird Academic Success Center in the library after school on Mondays and Wednesday.  Great place to come between school and after school activities and practices to do homework and get help.  See Mrs. Meller with questions or to sign up.
