The University of Toledo is coming to visit on Wednesday Oct. 29. Please sign-up outside of the counseling office or by emailing Mrs. Roper if you would like to talk to the representative.
For Mr. Waidelich’s classes today: AA, 5th, and 6th will need to go to Ms. Enderle’s study hall.
Spanish Club will meet in room 209 for Activity Period today.
At this time all Juniors going to Defiance College please meet Mrs. Roper & Mr. Mendoza with your pencil and calculator in the Atrium.

Thursday -

Congratulations to the varsity volleyball team for their sectional final victory over Fayette last night in 3 sets. The volleyball team will play the district semi-final match vs. Hilltop on Monday, October 20, in the 2nd match of the evening at Archbold High School. The first match, Edgerton vs. Edon, will begin at 6:00 pm. This is not a split session. Your ticket is good for both matches. Tickets may be purchased at the gate with cash or online at ohsaa.org/tickets

The cross country teams will compete at the District Meet at Leader’s farms on Saturday beginning at 9:00 am. Tickets for this event must be purchased online at ohsaa.org/tickets. There will not be cash sales at the gate at Leader’s Farms.

The soccer team will travel to Kalida for their sectional final match beginning at 5:00 pm on Saturday. Tickets may be purchased at the gate with cash or online at ohsaa.org/tickets

FCCLA friends that are going to Camp Palmer: Make sure you wear weather appropriate clothes for tomorrow with CLOSED-TOE shoes (no crocs) that you can walk and run in and bring your sack lunch! Please do not pack things that need to be cold. I will have boxes to put them in to take to Camp Palmer. I will have an announcement made tomorrow morning for you to come to the atrium. Bring your lunch at that time. And No phones please! Students should look in FCCLA Google classroom to see if they are in Group A or B. If you do not have the FCCLA google classroom, see Ms Litogot

Today is our Picnic at the Park day. We will dismiss by grade level, and all students need to stay on the sidewalks between the school and the park, following the route that takes us past the cider mill and soccer fields. Students will not cut through lawns or take short cuts. Please remember to throw all trash in the trash cans provided at the park and clean up after yourself. Thank you.

To honor our State Runner-up Golf team, we will be hosting a Golf Celebration prior to dismissal to Picnic at the Park today. Students will be dismissed to the high school gym at 10:35 a.m.

Congratulations to the varsity golf team for being the OHSAA Division 3 Golf State Runner-up. The Blackbirds finished in 2nd place with a two-day team score of 641. Creighton Aeschliman tied for 12th, Gracyen Osterday tied for 20th, Jack Leppelmeier and Rylee Bevard tied for 30th, and Gavin Knierim tied for 46th.

Congratulations on a tremendous season, winning the BBC Championship, Sectional Championship, District Championship, along with the State Runner-up Finish. Well Done!

Congratulations to our cross country teams for their finishes at the BBC Championships at Edon. The varsity boys finished in 3rd place. Alex Galvin finished 2nd and Tyler Wilburn finished in 3rd with both earning 1st Team BBC. Sam Hartman was honorable-mention in 17th place. The varsity girls finished in 3rd place. Keren Maldonado finished 4th and Grace Davis finished 6th with both earning 1st Team BBC. Leah Roth was 2nd Team BBC in 14th place. Sophia Loar was honorable mention in 16th place. The JH Boys won the BBC Championship with a score of 25. Top 7 include:

Tomorrow is the last Blackbird Academic Success Center after school for this quarter. Please make sure to come and get support in finishing up quarter 1 work before Friday. Remember snacks provided! See Mrs. Meller if you have questions.
