It’s World Mental Health Day, and that means it’s a perfect time to think about how we take care of ourselves and each other. Mental health is an important part of everyone’s life — just like physical health. Let’s take time to care for our minds, show kindness to everyone, and reach out if you need help. You are never alone! 

Congratulations to the Pettisville Quiz team for defeating Paulding yesterday evening by a score of 245-150.

Congratulations to the varsity volleyball team as back-to-back BBC Champions.  The Blackbirds claimed their share of the BBC Title with a straight victory over North Central last night.  The team finished their conference schedule with a record of 6 and 1.

Good luck to the varsity golf team at the OHSAA State Championships at NorthStar Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday.  The Blackbirds will tee off on Monday, beginning at 9:50 AM.  All tickets for this event must be purchased at ohsaa.org/tickets. We will have a state send off for the golf team today at 2:45 pm in the hallways of the school.

Good luck to the cross country teams at the BBC Championships at the Edon Community Park on Saturday.

Good luck to the 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams at the BBC Tournament at Fayette on Saturday.


Wednesday -

FCCLA friends, if you are planning on going to Camp Palmer on October 16th, the permission paper and money are due to Ms. Litogot by tomorrow. Pick one up and return it with your money as soon as possible! If you need a reminder, stop by Ms. Litogot’s room and get a string tied around your wrist.

National Honor Society applications are open and due Friday, October 31st. If you are a junior or senior who is planning to apply, check your email from Mrs. Planson for more information. If you have any questions, please reach out to her soon.

The varsity volleyball team won over Holgate in 3 sets last evening. The JV won in 2 sets. The 7th and 8th grade teams each won in 2 sets over Holgate.

The varsity soccer team lost last evening to Continental.


Tuesday -

Attention Seniors: Josten will be here for a Senior Class Meeting today starting at 9:30 am. There will be an announcement to release all Seniors to the Cafeteria. The meeting will last for approximately 20 minutes.

Freshman: Jostens will also be meeting with the Freshman Class today starting at 10:00 am. There will be an announcement to release all Freshmen to the Cafeteria. The meeting will last for approximately 20 minutes.

Picnic in the Park has been postponed today due to the weather forecast. We will communicate the rescheduled day as soon as possible. We will run our normal bell schedule.

The varsity volleyball won in 3 sets over Delta last evening. The JV team lost in 3 sets. The freshman lost in 2 sets. Congratulations to Naomi Richer for reaching the 1000 kill mark on Monday at Delta in the 3rd set.  She becomes the 2nd player in Pettisville volleyball history to reach this milestone.  Well Done!

The 8th grade volleyball team defeated Delta in 2 sets.

The JH soccer team won over Emmanuel Christian 5 to 1.

Results from the Cross Country Invite at Hudson:  The varsity boys finished in 4th place. The varsity girls finished in 4th place. The JH boys were team champions.

There will be a meeting for junior high boys basketball players today at lunch in Room 150.  Please get your lunch at the beginning of the lunch period and bring it to Room 150.
