Friday -

To celebrate FFA week, the FFA will also be holding a 7-12 competition. The winner will receive a $50.00 Amazon gift card. There will be small pink paper pigs with FFA emblems on them hidden around the school. If you find one, put your first and last name and grade on it and turn it into the box in the office. Teachers will also be handing them out for students who go above and beyond or are kind. There will be a drawing today during the assembly.

These clubs will be meeting today during Academic Assist period: Art Club  - Mr. Delphia’s room; NHS - Mr. Switzer’s room.  

FFA will have an assembly at 2:40 today. You will be dismissed over the PA.

Results from last night:  The varsity boys basketball team lost to Tinora in overtime 50 to 47. The JV lost 35 to 22.  The freshman boys won. 

The varsity boys team will now move onto the sectional tournament hosting Stryker on Wednesday, February 28, at 7:00 pm. Doors will open at 6:00 PM. This is an OHSAA tournament event.  No season, staff, league, or citizen senior citizen passes will be accepted. Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets online at ohsaa.org/tickets. Tickets can also be purchased at the door with cash.


Thursday -

Students should check their emails regarding our upcoming ACT day on Tuesday, February 27th. You should have received an email from Mr. Wagner with your schedule for the morning hours. Any student that did not receive an email besides the juniors, should contact Mr. Wagner.

Be sure to donate in the atrium TODAY at lunch, since today is the last day for donations!

The varsity girls basketball team lost to Stryker last evening 38-30 in the sectional semi-final. Congratulations to the girls team for a great season. The Blackbirds finish the season as Co-BBC Champions with an overall record of 14 & 9 and 6 & 1 in the BBC. Great job this year!

Good luck to the freshman, JV and varsity boys’ basketball teams tonight at Tinora. The freshman game starts at 4:45 followed by the JV and varsity games.  All tickets at Tinora are $7.

The current standings have Mr. Leppelemeier in 1st place in the junior high/high school and Mrs. Leppelmeier 1st place in the elementary. Be sure to bring your money in before school next to the office or in the atrium during lunch to donate toward the person you most want to have to kiss a pig on Friday.  The last day to donate is THURSDAY this week.

Good luck to the varsity girls basketball team tonight. The varsity girls basketball team will host Stryker tonight in the sectional semi-final starting at 7:00 PM. Doors will open at 6:00 PM. This is an OHSAA tournament event.  No season, staff, league, or citizen senior citizen passes will be accepted.  Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the door with cash or online at ohsaa.org/tickets. A few other reminders:  

  1. During introductions fans are not permitted on the floor

  2. No signs, noisemakers, etc. are permitted.

Results from over the weekend.  Congratulations to the varsity boys basketball team for their victory over Hilltop on Friday 53 to 22.  With the win the boys secure a share of the BBC Championship with Montpelier.  The JV boys also won 31 to 27. On Saturday the varsity boys were victorious over Wauseon 47 to 33.  The JV boys lost to Wauseon 32 to 21.

Good luck to the varsity girls tomorrow night at Pettisville in the sectional semi-final.  The girls team will host Stryker tomorrow, Wednesday, February 21 at Pettisville starting at 7:00 pm.  This is an OHSAA tournament event.  No season, staff, league, or citizen senior citizen passes will be accepted.  Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
