Friday, Oct. 4 - 

This is a reminder for girls and boys in grades 7-12 interested in playing basketball: We will be iszing basketball shoes today in the varsity gym during lunch. Any questions, please see Mr. Leppelmeier or Mr. Waldvogel.

Today’s Activity Period will be for class meetings.  Extension time this afternoon will be as follows:  Juniors and Seniors will meet in the study hall. Freshmen and Sophomores meet in the atrium. 8th graders who normally go to Mr. Poulson in the afternoon, please report to Mr. Nafziger’s room. Mrs. Bacon’s homeroom please report to Mrs. Richer’s room.  7th graders who are in Mr. Switzer’s homeroom please report to Mrs. Miller’s room. Junior high quiz members will report to Mr. Switzer’s room. 7th and 8th graders who are not in quiz need to bring your chromebooks with you.

High School quiz team:  Please meet in Ms. Dorosz’s room today at lunch.

Congratulations to the varsity soccer team for their 2-1 victory over Miller City.  Quinn Wyse and Gonzalo Pajares each scored for Pettisville on assists for Zakkai Kaufmann.  The junior high soccer team lost to Emmanuel Christian

The varsity golf team finished their season yesterday at the District Golf Tournament finishing in 5th place.  Scoring: Max Leppelmeier 81, Tommy McWatters 84, Josh Horning 92, and Caleb Nafziger 93.

The JV and varsity volleyball team split with North Central last night.  The JV team won in two sets and the varsity team lost in five sets.  The junior high volleyball teams split with North Central.  The 7th grade team lost in two sets and the 8th grade team won in two sets.

Thursday, Oct. 3 - 

All FCCLA members who are planning on attending the Fall District Rally, please bring your money and permission slips into Mrs. Bacon no later than Monday, October 7.

Prom Theme Committee will meet at lunch today in Mrs. Meller’s science classroom.

Juniors and Seniors:  Bring your driver’s license or the last 4 digits of your social security number for extension period this Friday. We will be registering you to vote!

8th grade JH quiz team members: Please meet in Ms. Dorosz’s room today at 11:25 to choose t-shirt colors.

High School quiz team:  Please plan to meet in Ms. Dorosz’s room tomorrow to receive a calendar & beginning of the year information. If you cannot be there, let her know.

Wednesday, Oct. 2 - 

The Pumpkinfest, sponsored by the Pettisville FFA Alumni and Friends group, is Friday, Oct. 4th. 4-7 graders can sign up for the 3 on 3 basketball contest using the sign-up sheets located in the office or in Mr. Poulson’s room. Grades 4-12 can sign up for the 6 on 6 dodgeball tournament using the same sign-up sheets located in the office or in Mr. Poulson’s room. Dodgeball is co-ed teams with no more than 4 boys on a team. There are no substitutes. The cost is $5/person. The prizes are t-shirts. Sign up and pay by 3:15 on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

The junior high golf team finished 1st at the last jamboree of the season finishing with a score of 201 at Riverside Greens in Stryker.  7th grade volleyball lost to Stryker in 2 sets.  Junior high soccer score was Trinity Lutheran 8 Pettisville 2.

There will boys’ basketball open gym tonight for boys in grades 9-12 at 7:30pm in the varsity gym.

Results from last night:

The 7th grade volleyball team lost to Archbold in two sets and the 8th grade lost to Archbold in three close sets 16-25, 25-23, and 26-28.  Junior High Soccer: Maumee Valley Country Day 5 Pettisville 0.

The junior high soccer team will leave right after school today for Trinity Lutheran. The junior high golf team will travel to Stryker today. The 7th grade volleyball will travel to Stryker today.

Girls basketball open gym will be tonight from 7:30-9:00 for girls in grades 5-12.

Girls in JH and HS interested in playing basketball this year need to sign up in the office. There will be a meeting for all HS players interested tonight at 7:45pm. Please see Coach Waldvogel if you are unable to attend.  You are not expected to have to stay for open gym.

Attention all students who signed up to attend the Valentine’s production of Macbeth this Wednesday:  There will be a lunch meeting today in Mr. Switzer’s room for 8th graders. High school students who signed up should meet in Ms.Dorosz’s room at 11:30. The meetings will be brief.

College reps this week:  Tuesday – Northwest; Wednesday – Eastern Mennonite and Taylor.

These were the results from the FFA Soils Judgings:  At Fulton County, the Rural team placed 2nd with Carson Bennett, Baden Skates and Clara Damman. Carson placed 2nd individually. The team placed 7th, led by Clark Bartoe who placed 2nd. Ava Hoylman and Carson Bennett were the other 2 scorers.  The Urban team of Luke VanDenBerghe, Larry Klingensmith and Elise Hoylman placed 5th at County and 13th at District.

Attention senior quiz team members:  Please meet in Mrs. Dadisman’s room today at lunch.

The varsity volleyball team finished 3rd at the 8-team Archbold Volleyball Spiketacular.  The varsity team defeated Paulding in three sets, lost to Otsego in two sets, and finished the tournament picking up the win over Hilltop in two sets.  The JV team finished 2 and 1 also.  The JV team lost to Archbold in three sets and defeated both Toledo Christian and Otsego in two sets.

Varsity soccer: Napoleon 8 Pettisville 2.  JV soccer: Napoleon 3 and Pettisville 1

The cross country invite at Wauseon was cancelled on Saturday.

There will be a meeting on Tuesday at 11:20am in room 150 for 7th and 8th grade boys playing basketball this season.  Any questions, please see Mr. Leppelmeier

There will be open gym for boys in grades 9-12 on Tuesday at 7:30pm.
