Announcements - Week of 9-9-19

Friday, Sept. 13 - 

School pictures today will be for students in grades 9-12. Senior pictures will be taken first, followed by grades 9, 10, and 11, in that order. When you are called to get your picture taken, please go to room 318 in the north wing. If you are in grade 7 or 8, and were absent yesterday, please make sure to get your picture taken today. Let your teacher or the office know so plans can be made to take your picture.

Morning Activity Period will be from 9:00-9:30 for FFA and Student Council. FFA will meet in Mr. Poulson’s room and Student Council will meet in the theatre.  All other students should report to homeroom.

The varsity golf team defeated Stryker last night by a score of 155 to 204.  Scoring: Max Leppelmeier 36 co-medalist, Tommy McWatters 39, Caleb Nafziger 40, Josh Horning 40.  The Blackbirds will host a 16 team invitational on Saturday at Ironwood starting at 11:00 AM.

The JV and Varsity Volleyball Teams picked up BBC wins last night over Fayette.  The JV won in 2 sets 25-19 and 25-5.  The varsity won in 4 sets 25-6, 25-16, 24-26, and 25-11. The 8th grade volleyball team won over Fayette in 3 sets.

The Varsity and JV soccer teams will host Kalida tonight with the varsity match starting at 5:00 PM.

The cross country teams will travel to Harrison Lake tomorrow morning for the Fayette Invitational.

Thursday, Sept. 12 - 

School pictures for the junior high will be taken later today. When you are called to get your picture taken, please go to room 318 in the north wing. Grades 9-12, along with Four County students, will have their pictures taken tomorrow, Sept. 13.  Please be sure to dress appropriately.

Wednesday, Sept. 11 - 

School pictures for the junior high and high school will be taken beginning tomorrow, so think about what you will wear. You will want to look good for your school picture as it will be in the yearbook for all to see.  Grades 7 & 8 will have pictures taken tomorrow, Sept. 12 and grades 9-12, along with Four County students, will have pictures taken this Friday, Sept. 13. Please be sure to dress appropriately.

The junior high FCA leaders invite you to the junior high FCA kickoff in Mrs. Miller’s room during lunch today. All 7th and 8th graders are welcome to come for games and snacks. Hope to see you there!

There will be high school FCA today in the study hall over lunch. Senior FCA leaders will be speaking and ice cream will be provided. We hope to see you there!

The varsity golf team picked a BBC win over visiting NC last night by a score of 166 to 176. Scoring: Max Leppelmeier 36 Medalist, Caleb Nafziger 39, Tommy McWatters 41, Josh Horning & Levi Myers 50.

The varsity and JH soccer teams were defeated by Toledo Christian last evening.  The JV soccer team lost on the road at Bryan. The JH soccer team finished 2nd last night at the BBC Jamboree.

Monday, Sept. 9 - 

If you did not receive a picture packet on Friday, please stop into the office and pick one up.

If you are interested, please sign up with Ms. Dorosz or Mr. Switzer by this Friday. The sign-up sheet is on Ms. Dorosz’s door.  Oh, and by the way, the answer is Madagascar.

Student Council will meet today at lunch in Mrs. Richer’s room #202. We will be preparing for picnic in the park.

Results from Friday and Saturday:  On Friday the JV and Varsity Volleyball teams were defeated by Miller City.  The varsity soccer team lost to Maumee Valley Country Day on Saturday by a score of 2 to 1. Gonzalo Pajares scored for Pettisville.  The varsity golf team won the Stryker Invitational on Saturday at Riverside Greens with a score of 329. Max Leppelmeier tied for second making all-tournament team.  Scoring: Max Leppelmeier 73, Tommy McWatters 79, Caleb Nafziger 88, Josh Horning 89.  The varsity girls cross country placed 19th out of 36 teams on Saturday at the Tiffin Cross Country Carnival.  Top finishers in the race with 343 runners: Kate Stuber in 27th place and Sarah Foor in 92nd place. Top boys’ finisher out of 216 runners was Zach McWatters in 46th place.  The JH girls finished 4th out of 7 teams at the Archbold Invite.  Kendall Sears was the top finisher in 17th place.  Oliver Shaw was the top finisher for the boys in 35th place.
