Results from last night:  The varsity volleyball lost Hilltop in the sectional final in 4 sets: 25-16, 20-25, 21-25, 15-25.

Good luck to the varsity cross country teams tomorrow at the OHSAA District Meet at Leaders Farm.  The varsity boys will run at 9:00 am and the varsity girls will run at 10:30 am. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online at ohsaa.org/tickets. Online tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. All tickets at the door are $10.

There will be a meeting today for boys basketball players in grades 9-12 at lunch in Room 150.

 Academic Assist today will be for Art Club, NHS, and Spanish Club.

The varsity soccer team lost to Archbold 3 to 0 in the sectional semi-final last evening.

Tuesday, Oct. 17 - 

Today,  Pettisville will host Stryker in the OHSAA Volleyball Sectional Semi-finals beginning at 6:00 pm.  Doors will open at 5:00 pm.  Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online at ohsaa.org/tickets.  Online tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students.  Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $10.  This is a tournament event - no season passes, staff pass, league passes, etc. will be accepted.

On Wednesday, October 18, Pettisville will travel to Archbold for the OHSAA Soccer Sectional Semi-final starting at 5:00 pm at Spengler Field.  Again fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online at ohsaa.org/tickets.  The ticket prices are the same as mentioned before.

The library will be closed today.

At 2:30 today, students should report to the theatre for an assembly. Parables, a music/drama troupe from Goshen College, will be sharing their program with us. Grades 7-9 should sit in the lower level of the theatre. Grades 10-12 should sit in the first few rows of the raised seats. Let’s welcome the group and be an excellent audience.

Thank you to everyone who donated blood at the blood drive last week. We collected 31 pints.

Congratulations to the Varsity and JV Quiz Teams for their performance against Paulding last night. Varsity was victorious with a score of 300 to 100. Varsity’s top scorer was Emily VanDenBerghe. The JV finished tied at 115 a piece with Pettisville’s top scorer being Kayden Dominique. Well done Nerd Herd!

Congratulations to the varsity girls and varsity boys cross teams for winning the BBC Championships on Saturday at Edon. Top finishers for the girls:

1st Team BBC: Kendall Sears - 2nd; Grace Remington - 5th; Madison Remington - 6th 

2nd Team BBC: Ashalyn Rice - 11th, Ella Richer - 14th

Honorable-Mention BBC: Emily VanDenBerghe - 18th, Sophia Loar - 20th,

Congratulations to the 7th grade girls volleyball team for winning the BBC tournament.  The 7th grade girls finished the season undefeated. The 7th grade defeated Holgate in 2 sets in the semi-finals and North Central in 2 sets in the championship game.

The 8th grade girls lost to North Central in the quarter finals in 2 sets.
