A special congratulations to our 7th grade girls’ volleyball BBC Champions, who finished their regular season last night with a win over Holgate and an undefeated, 16-0 record. Good luck to both the 7th and 8th grade girls’ volleyball teams tomorrow as they compete in the BBC League tournament at Holgate. Go Blackbirds!

The varsity volleyball team lost to Hilltop in 4 sets: 10-25, 25-21, 19-25, 16-25. The JV team lost in 2 sets: 15-25, 22-25.
The varsity soccer team lost to Continental 8 to 0. The JH soccer team won over Northwest Ohio Classical Academy 1 to 0. Zander Hogrefe scored for the Blackbirds
The JH volleyball teams split with Hilltop. The 7th grade team won in 2 sets: 25-5, 25-15. The 8th grade team lost in 3 sets: 19-25, 25-18, 21-25.
Tuesday, Oct 10 -
Tomorrow is the Student Council Blood drive in the Junior High gym. Anyone signed up to donate or to work needs to alert their teachers TODAY and ask for missing work. If you are a donor and are 16 years old, you’ll need to bring that signed permission paper from the Red Cross. All donors should bring their license or permit with them, and should have a good breakfast in the morning. Remember to drink more fluids than you normally would before and after donating. If you would still like to sign up to donate, please see Keegan or Sra. Richer today! Amazon gift cards, tshirts and candy bars await, as does saving someone’s life!

The JH soccer team defeated Toledo Christian 1 to 0. Zander Hogrefe scored for the Blackbirds.
This is a reminder to JH soccer players that the bus departs at 3:15 pm today.
There will be girls’ basketball open gym tonight for grades 4-12 from 7:00-8:30.

The Red Cross is in urgent need of blood. Donate next Wednesday, October 11, at the Student Council Blood Drive and receive a tshirt and $10 Amazon gift card! Help us reach our goal of 30 pints! O-positive donors who wish to give double red should indicate this when signing up in advance. Only an hour of your time can save up to three lives with one pint donated!
