Friday, Sept. 29 - 

All girls in grades 7 & 8 interested in playing basketball this year should sign up on the Health Room door today.

Attention Art Club: We will meet today during academic assist in the art room. All interested 9th through 12th grade students are welcome so if you were not able to make it to our first meeting please be sure to attend or speak with Mr Delphia so we have an accurate roster of who would like to be a part of the club this year.

Junior high students are invited to attend the kickoff for this year’s FCA.  We will meet before lunch today in Mrs. Miller’s room #207 for a time of fellowship and prayer. There will also be a sweet treat to start your lunch off with dessert.  See you at lunch!

The library will be closed today.

Results from yesterday:  The varsity golf team finished second at the OHSAA Sectional Tournament.  The Blackbirds now qualify for the District Tournament at Stone Ridge on Thursday, October 5. Jack Leppelmeier - 73; Creighton Aeschliman - 83; Aiden Crawford - 89; Caden Bishop & Gavin Knierim - 90.

The varsity volleyball secured another BBC win over Edon in 3 sets: 25-12, 25-10, 25-15

The JV team won in 2 sets: 25-19, 25-12.

The varsity soccer team lost to Toledo Christian 4 to 1.  Joey Ripke scored for the Blackbirds. The JH soccer team defeated Trinity Lutheran 4 to 2. Alex Galvin - 2 goals and Zac Bergstedt and Cam Hogrefe each with a goal

The JH volleyball teams split with Edon. The 7th grade won in 2 sets: 25-10, 25-19. The 8th grade lost in 2 sets: 19-25, 21-25.

There will be a meeting for boys basketball players in grades 9-12 at lunch today in room 150.

Wednesday, Sept. 27 - 

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your dodgeball or basketball skills? Pumpkin Fest will be held Friday, October 6 and we need teams of 3 in grades 4-7 to join the basketball tournament as well as teams of 6 in grades 4-12 for the dodgeball tournament. Sign up sheets with information are in the office or the Ag room.

FCCLA members going to Camp Palmer:  Please make sure you have a sack lunch that does not need to be in the cooler.  Sweatshirt, jeans, and close-toed shoes need to be worn for the day. We will meet at 8:45 in the atrium and be back by 2:15.

The varsity volleyball team picked up the BBC win at Fayette in 3 sets: 25-10, 25-17, 25-8.

The JV team won in 2 sets: 25-21, 25-11. 

The 7th grade volleyball team defeated Evergreen in 2 sets: 25-9, 25-12. The 8th grade volleyball team lost to Fayette in 3 sets: 12-25, 25-14, 21-25.

The varsity soccer team lost to Northwood 3 to 1.  Joey Ripke scored for the Blackbirds.

The JH golf team won the Fayette Jamboree at Patriot Hills with a score of 172. Gracyen Osterday - 38 - medalist; Sam Hastings - 43; Kobe Hoylman - 43; Dawson Knierim - 48.

Fayette is hosting “Fight On For A Cure” in memory of Alli Herman tonight during the Fayette/Pettisville JV and Varsity volleyball matches.  There will be a cake raffle, 50/50 drawing and many other events going on throughout the evening.  The theme is GOLD OUT.

High School quiz team:  There will be a brief meeting in Mr. Kester’s room today at lunch.

Results from last night:  the JH soccer team was victorious over Emmanuel Christian 5-0.  Cam Hogrefe had 2 goals, Alex Galvin, Aaliyah Hernandez, and Zander Hogrefe had 1 goal each.

JH soccer practice is canceled for today.

Results from Day 1 at the OHSAA Regional Track Meet at Fostoria: Girls 4 x 800 meter relay team of Madison Remington, Kendall Sears, Elise Hoylman, and Grace Remington finished in 8th place. The following have qualified for the regional finals on Friday: The boys 4 by 200 meter relay team of Landon Graffice, Sean Adkins, Zach McWatters, and Sam Haley with a new school record time of 1:33.63. Landon Graffice in the 400. Sam Haley in the 200. The boys 4 x 400 meter relay team of Landon Graffice, Sam Haley, Jack Leppelmeier, and Zach McWatters. 

Good luck on Friday to Grace Remington in the 800, the boys 4 by 200 team,  Landon Graffice in the 400, Zach McWatters in the 1600 and 3200, Sam Haley in the 200, and the boys 4 by 400 team.
