Friday, Jan. 19

This is a reminder to Sophomores to sign up for donations for pies and for times to work at the Sophomore Supper.  Please turn in your papers to Mrs. Frazer or Mrs. Nafziger.

Junior high students doing Math Counts and Science Fair are to meet in Mrs. Miller or Mrs. Meller’s room during Activity Period today.  Sign out from your homeroom before coming.

The next module of STEM will begin Tuesday, February 6th for six weeks.  This will be a project based STEM module that will allow you the opportunity to write, record and mix/product music. Eric Wagler and Pete Bishop will be leading us during this module and will be sharing their skills to help you work projects in small groups. Sign up is on a first come basis and space is limited.  Please check your calendar before signing up to make sure you can attend all 6 sessions.  Sign up will go until the sign up is filled or Friday, January 25th.  Sign up is posted on Mrs. Meller’s science classroom door.

Today, high school students doing science fair projects are to meet during lunch in the Ag room.  Grab your lunch and come to Mr. Poulson’s room to get details for the final 3 weeks before our local science fair and also for qualifying and registering for other competitions.

Activity Period today will be for FFA and Student Council.  FFA will meet in the high school gym and Student Council will meet in the theatre.  All other students please report to homeroom.

The JV and varsity boys’ basketball teams were victorious last night in conference play over the Edon Blue Bombers.  The JV won 44-16 and the varsity won 49-23.  Good luck to the girls’ JV and varsity teams tonight as they travel to Edon to take on the Bombers in BBC play.

The theme for tomorrow’s boys’ basketball game against Evergreen is “America/Camo.”

All Homecoming court members should report to the atrium promptly at 11:20 today for pictures.  Please be prompt.

Attention FFA members:  This is a 10 point assignment so please listen.  Friday’s activity period is our group FFA picture.  Please wear official dress from the waste up if available.  If not available, please dress up.  You will receive 10 points for following those guidelines.  There will be 2 bonus points if in full official dress.  Remember, all FFA members come in FFA dress on Friday during activity period and come to the gym.

Call time for pep band tonight is at 6:40.

The last day for high school schedule changes will be Thursday, Jan. 18th.

Attention cast members of “My Fair Lady”:  If you have not already picked up a rehearsal schedule, a parent volunteer sheet or a script, please stop by the theatre before you leave school today.  They are on the front of the stage.

The following students must speak to Mrs. Bacon today about your Life Event Project which is due for Personal Finance Class:  William Fenton, Dylan Martin, Drake McKeever, Brandi Schnitkey.

The 8th grade girls picked a BBC road win last night at Stryker by a score of 16-14.  The freshman boys were also victorious last night in the BBC on the road defeating host Fayette 19-13.  The 7th and 8th grade boys’ teams both won over the visiting Panthers from Stryker last night.

Detention today will be in Mr. Nafziger’s room.
