Friday, Oct. 30 - 

Today, you can choose to be a LEADER.  Leadership is not a title, it’s a behavior. How will you choose to act like a leader today? Share with us on the challenge cards for your last chance to enter our drawing. We will announce the winners later today.

The Student Council has sent an invitation to vote during class meetings today for homecoming representatives for grades 9-12. Please take your chromebook to class meetings to check your email at that time. Ballots should be completed today. Four County students should check their Pettisville email for their invitation to vote.

Today’s Activity Period will be for Class Meetings.

Thursday, Oct. 29 - 

Today we are choosing to be KIND.  Kindness costs nothing to give, but can mean everything. Share how you will be kind today by turning in a challenge card outside the counselor’s offices. Tomorrow we will choose to be a LEADER during Career Day, so dress for your future career! We will also be announcing our prize winners from our completed challenge cards at the end of the day Friday.

Wednesday, Oct. 28 - 

Attention FFA members who were supposed to meet at lunch today for Recruitment Committee: The meeting has been moved to lunch on Thursday.

 

Today we are choosing to be PROUD. Don’t wait until you’ve reached your goal to be proud of yourself. Be proud of every step you take toward reaching that goal. Tell us what you’re proud of by completing a challenge card outside the counselor’s offices. Tomorrow, we will choose to be KIND, so wear bright colors to let your kindness shine.

Tuesday, Oct. 27 - 

Yesterday the high school quiz team competed against Tiffin Columbian in the official Toledo Area League season opener. The JV team defeated Tiffin Columbian 410-120 and the varsity team also won, 395-120.

 

Today, we are choosing to be RESPECTFUL. Respecting others is the best tool to earn respect. Show us how you’ve been respectful by filling out a challenge card outside the counselor’s offices. Tomorrow, we will choose to be PROUD, so wear your Blackbird gear to show your school spirit!

Monday, Oct. 26 - 

Results from over the weekend:  The varsity girls’ cross country team finished 12th at the District Meet at Ottawa.  Sophie Sterken was the top finisher in 39th place.  Zach McWatters led the varsity boys in 49th place.

The varsity soccer team lost a close match to Genoa in overtime in the sectional final 3 to 2.  Zakkai Kaufmann scored for the Blackbirds.

Happy “You Choose Week!”  Today we are choosing to be HEALTHY. Make healthy choices by getting 8 hours of sleep a night, limiting screen time, and practicing good hygiene. Challenge cards are posted outside the counselor’s office. Students in grades K-12 may pick up a challenge card and share how they choose to be healthy, then drop it in the challenge box to be entered in Friday’s prize drawing. Tomorrow’s theme is choosing to be RESPECTFUL – so be sure to wear a shirt of a different school or rival college.
