Tuesday, Nov. 21

The 3rd module of STEM begins today after school in Mrs. Meller’s science classroom.  The session will go until 5:00pm.  See Mrs. Miller or Mrs. Meller if you have questions.

The parliamentary procedure contest for Fulton County was held on Monday at Northwest State Community College.  Pettisville FFA placed second and has the chance to advance to district competition next week.  Ten FFA members attended the event.

Last Thursday night, Gretchen Lee represented Fulton County in Division 4 (seniors) at the Job Interview contest.  Gretchen placed 2nd place.  Congratulations!

Show your school spirit by dressing up for spirit week next week.  It starts next Monday, November 27th with “dress to unimpress” day.  Wear your pjs, look like trash, or dress casual – just make sure you’re not the best looking kid in class!

The varsity girls’ and varsity boys’ basketball teams will host Napoleon High School tomorrow night in the OHSAA Foundation Game.  All proceeds from tonight’s game will benefit Haden Bevard and his family.  Haden is currently a patient at C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor waiting for a heart transplant.  We are asking all fans to wear red to show their support for Haden.  Ticket prices are $3 for adults and $2 for students.  No season or senior citizen passes will be accepted for this charity event. 

Activity Period today will be for NHS and FCCLA.  New NHS members will meet in Mr. Switzer’s room. FCCLA will meet in Mrs. Bacon’s room.  All other students should report to homeroom.

Current NHS members meet in the theatre at 11:45 today to practice for the induction ceremony. All current and new members are reminded to dress up for the ceremony.

7th graders and members of NHS that participated in Book Club:  Do not go to 1st period on Tuesday.  Meet by the main office.

This past Saturday, the high school quiz team traveled to the Hicksville Tournament where they finished with an impressive third place finish.  Their performance qualified them for nationals (not just once, but twice).  Congratulations to the team for this historic achievement and to Jake Myers for his being named to All-Tournament First Team and to Levi Myers for being named All-Tournament Honorable Mention.
