The varsity golf team captured their 2nd BBC Championship. The Blackbirds finished first with a score of 316 at the BBC Championship. Tommy McWatters was the tournament medalist with a score of 74 and was named the BBC Player of the Year. Max Leppelmeier, 75, 1st Team BBC

The JV volleyball team lost to Hilltop in two sets 13-25 and 22-25. The varsity volleyball team lost to Hilltop in three sets 14-25, 14-25, and 15-25. The 7th grade volleyball team won over Hilltop in three sets 25-23, 24-26, and 25-11. The 8th grade team lost in two sets 11-25 and 8-25.
The junior high golf team won the BBC Jamboree with a score of 168 over Montpelier 211, Hilltop 214, and Stryker 221.
The junior high soccer team played to a 2-2 tie with Monclova Christian. Mason Wyse and Quinn Ripke scored.

This week kicks off fun Fridays at Pettisville! Show your school spirit by dressing in your favorite Blackbird gear tomorrow.
Thank you to those art students who have agreed to paint pumpkins for the Pettisville FFA alumni auction. The pumpkins arrived yesterday and are getting cleaned up today and will be ready for pick up this afternoon after 2:00. The painted pumpkins should come back next Friday afternoon, Oct 2nd for the alumni to select the cash prize winners. Then, all pumpkins get donated to the pumpkin fest auction. The auction will happen online through Facebook the week of October 5th. If there are any other students who want to sign up for a pumpkin and are not in art class please see Mr. Poulson.

The JV and varsity volleyball teams picked up home BBC wins over Stryker last night. The JV team won in two sets over Stryker 25-11, 25-18. The varsity volleyball team won in four sets 25-20, 14-25, 25-19, 25-21. The 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams won on the road at Stryker. The 7th grade won in two sets 25-14 and 25-12. The 8th grade won in two sets also, 25-13 and 25-19.

The varsity soccer team defeated the visiting Swanton Bulldogs by a score of 5 to 3. Zakkai Kaufmann scored 3 goals, Blake Eyer scored 2 goals, Quinn Wyse had 2 assists.
The JV and varsity volleyball teams picked the wins over the visitors from Holgate. The JV won in three sets 25-10, 15-25, and 25-14. The varsity won in straight sets 25-14, 25-18, and 25-15.

Monday, Sept. 21 -
Beginning this morning, grab-and-go breakfast will be served in the cafeteria. Today’s options will be a hot bacon, egg and cheese breakfast pizza, cold cereal, or an Ultimate Breakfast Round served warm. All breakfasts include milk, juice, and fruit and are free to all students through December.
Results from over the weekend: The varsity soccer team was victorious over the Kalida Wildcats 2 to 0. Blake Eyer scored twice for the Blackbirds. The JV soccer team lost 1 to 0 to Kalida.
The varsity golf team won the Pettisville Invitational at Ironwood Golf Club with a score of 312. Max Leppelmeier, medalist, with a 73, Tommy McWatters 75, Caleb Nafziger 79, Levi Myers 85.
