Pettisville News

Hello,

This is Sandy Blackwood, Head Cook at Pettisville with some exciting news. As part of their
COVID response, the USDA has extended their summer food relief plan through December of
this year. What this means is that all reimbursable breakfasts and lunches that follow the USDA
meal pattern will be free for all students until January 2021. Families who have chosen to
homeschool or the NOVA online option are also eligible for these meals and may reserve meals
a day in advance by calling me at 419-446-7604. Pick-up will be between 10:30 and 11:00 am at
door #6 in the cul de sac.

Students who purchased meals in September will be reimbursed, but we must wait until we
know if USDA will allow us include August as well. Accounts will be reimbursed by the end of
October.

Currently, the USDA is planning to go back to the National School Lunch Program, as usual, in
January 2021. Families who may qualify for free or reduced lunches are encouraged to turn in
applications so their benefit could begin at that time.

Also, if a student packs and gets milk they are still charged $.50. All a la carte items are charged
at the rates posted in the cafeteria. If you have any questions, please ask and I will do my best to
discover the answer. Again my direct line number is 419-446-7604.

Thank you and make it a great day!
