Wednesday, November 1

Activity Period today will be for class meeting.  Sophomores will meet in the Art Room.

 Student Council is hosting a blood drive today.  Thank you to all who signed up to donate.

Good luck to the girls’ cross country team and to Logan Rufenacht and Max Leppelmeier this weekend at the Cross Country State Championships at National Trail Raceway.  The varsity girls’ team will run at 11:00am and the boys will run at 1:30pm.  The ticket price is $10 and parking is free. For those attending, please plan to arrive early to avoid traffic delays and check Dynacal or the OHSAA website for directions and parking information.  At 2:50 today, we will have a send-off for the state runners in the hallway.  Good luck!!

On Wednesday, Nov. 1st, the Student Council will be hosting a blood drive.  This is your chance to save lives.  Anyone age 15 and over can give blood.  16 and 17-year-olds need a permission slip signed by a parent to give blood.  Seniors can sign up with Maddy Gackenbach, juniors with Detric Yoder, and sophomores with Kelly Miller.  Thank you in advance for donating blood.

Today is National Mix It Up at Lunch Day.  Please take this opportunity to break down some barriers and get to know some new friends.  The Student Council will be facilitating this event.  Faculty are invited to participate and join students for lunch in the cafeteria.

Attention all NHS Applicants:  All applications must be turned in to Mr. Switzer’s room by 305 today.

All Spirit Club members:  Please meet in Ms. Dorosz’s room at lunch today.

At the National FFA Agriscience Fair in Indianapolis, Kayla Wyse took first place in the Plant Systems category, Gretchen Lee took second place in the Animal Systems category, and Jordan Skates took second place in the Environmental Systems category. Congratulations on this outstanding effort and national recognition.

Detention today will be in Mrs. Richer’s room #202.

The girls’ cross country team finished as Runner-Up  for the second year in a row.  Elizabeth Sauder and Nichole Foor led the Birds finishing places 2 and 5 respectfully.  Lady Birds will now run at the State Championships this Saturday in Hebron. Logan Rufenacht finished 24th and Max Leppelmeier 25th in cross country on Saturday and will run at the State Championships this Saturday.  Congratulations to both and girls and boys on an outstanding performance!
