Thursday, March 12 - 

Monday, four FFA teams participated in the District 1 Contests. The Agronomy Team placed 2nd led by Grace Schnitkey, who placed 1st and Jessica McWatters who placed 3rd.  The General Livestock Team was led by Ava Hoylman and Brett Coopshaw.  The Wildlife Team placed 5th in the District with Matt Rupp placing 4th. Carson Bennett, Clark Bartoe, Luke VanDenBerghe, and Wes Borton  were the other top scorers.  The Equine Team was Clara Damman and Kearsten Zuver.

Wednesday, March 11 - 

Varsity boys’ basketball players are to meet in the elementary computer lab today at 11:50am for a short meeting.

Yesterday, the high school quiz team competed in the NBAL Tournament – the final competition in the local NBAL league. After six rounds, the team finished as tournament champions. Luke Young was tournament high scorer with 114 points. With this tournament win, the team finishes the NBAL tournament and league season having won every competition with a perfect 25-0 record.

Detention today will be in Mrs. Meller’s room #207.

Monday, March 9 - 

A big thank you to all who donated blood, and to those who supported the blood drive! We collected 27 life-saving pints, surpassing our goal. Thank you!

This Saturday, the high school quiz team hosted a 27 team NAQT tournament. Pettisville fielded four teams. The Pettisville D team finished 7th in the JV division and the C team finished 4th. Pettisville B finished 12th in the varsity division, and Pettisville A finished as tournament runners up and 1st place among small schools. Heath Waidelich received tournament honors as the 5th highest scorer overall.  Dalton Myers and Luke Young also received all-tournament honors. Congratulations to all 32 Pettisville quizzers who participated.

Nine students participated in the Ohio Academy of Science Northwest Ohio District Science Day at the University of Toledo on Saturday. Results of the competition were:  Superior ratings were Kelly Wyse, Madison Beck, and team of Hollyn Klopfenstein & Grace Crawford. Excellent ratings went to Baden Skates, team of Delana Damman & Olivia Rossman and team of Susan Ringler & Amanda Grimm.  Sponsored Awards:  Baden Skates – Ecology Award; Kelly Wyse – Mercy College of Ohio Award for Outstanding project in Biology, Chemistry or Medicine; Delana Damman & Olivia Rossman – Planet Earth Sustainability Award.
