March FFA Update
The members put on an informative Food for America for 4th - 8th graders during FFA Week.

Jacob Dennis competed at the state Extemporaneous public speaking contest on Saturday

Proficiency results -placing 1st in the District in Agriscience Research - Plant Systems was Jacob Dennis. He is in the state Top 4.
Placing in the Agriscience Research - Integrated Systems were 1st in the District - Gretchen Lee and 2nd Jordan Skates. Getchen is in the state Top 4.
Jacob and Gretchen will be interviewed during the State FFA convention and then their state placings will be announced.

Star American FFA Degree - Chrysta Beck has been named the Ohio Star American in Agriscience.
Star State FFA Degree - Jacob Dennis has been named a finalist in the Star in Agriscience area. The winner will be announced during the state convention

At the District 1 FFA Agriscience fair contest held last Tuesday night three members attended and placed. Matt Rupp was first in the power category. Jacob Dennis was second in the plant category. Gretchen Lee was fourth in the animal science category. Jordan Skates, Jessie McWatters and Kayla Wyse also conducted research projects. Their papers will be forwarded to state competition to determine who of the six will present their projects at the state Agriscience fair in May.

Receiving their state FFA degrees are Caitlin Beck, daughter of Gloria, Gretchen Lee daughter of Char and Chris, Jordan Skates, daughter of Jerry and Pam and James Eicher, son of Curt and Elaine.

Four FFA members were among the students that competed at Regional Science Fair at NWSCC on Saturday with all receiving Superior Ratings. Look for the full report to be out soon.

Animal Day will be sometime after spring break.
