Friday, Aug. 23 - 

Please consider auditioning for the PHS fall production of “The Diary of Anne Frank.” Auditions will be held after school on Wednesday and Thursday, August 28 & 29. See Mr. Beck to schedule an audition.

We will operate on a morning activity period schedule today. At the end of first period, all students in grades 7-12 are to go to the varsity gym. 

Senior study hall will begin on Monday. Seniors with a study hall should check the master list on Mr. Lane’s door. Again, senior study hall will begin on Monday.

If you made a sewing project in Mrs. Bacon’s class last year, and you would like to display it at the fair, please bring it to school on Monday or Tuesday of next week. Put your name on it when you turn it in to Mrs. Bacon. Your project will be returned to you after the fair is over.

The Fulton County fair begins soon and the Pville Music Boosters is still in need of volunteers to help staff the booth. Funds from this booth go not only to K-12 music students, but also to school organizations like Yearbook, FCCLA, Art, and Student Council. You’ll find a direct link to sign up on the school’s website under the Newsletter. Thank you for your help.

The varsity soccer team played to a 1 to 1 tie last night with Maumee.  Zakkai Kaufmann scored for the Blackbirds.  The JV team won 1 to 0.  Pete Rupp score for the Blackbirds. The soccer teams travel to Archbold tomorrow night.

The golf team defeated Tinora 159 to 177. The Blackbirds scoring: Max Leppelmeier 34 – Medalist, Tommy McWatters 37, Caleb Nafziger 43, and Josh Horning 45. The golf team travels to Hilltop next Tuesday.

The JV and Varsity Volleyball Teams picked up two BBC wins on the road last night versus Stryker.  The JV team won in two sets 25-16 and 25-12.  The varsity won in four sets 25-23, 25-19, 10-15, and 25-21. The volleyball teams will host Hilltop next Tuesday.

The JH volleyball teams split with Stryker.  The 7th grade won in two sets 25-6 and 25-14.  The 8th grade lost in two sets.

Wednesday, Aug. 21 -

The JV and Varsity Volleyball Teams opened up BBC play last night at home with two victories over Montpelier.  The JV team won 25-8 and 25-13.  The varsity also won in straight sets 25-17, 25-11, and 25-15. The JV and Varsity teams will travel to Stryker on Thursday.

The varsity golf team hosted Fayette in the BBC opener.  The Blackbirds picked up the win with a school record 153 to Fayette’s 175.  Max Leppelmeier was the medalist with a 32 followed by Tommy McWatters with a 37, Caleb Nafziger with a 41, and Jake King with a 43.  The golf team will host Tinora on Thursday.

The 7th grade and 8th grade volleyball teams split with Montpelier.  The 7th grade was defeated in two sets with the 8th grade picking up the win in two sets 25-18 and 27-25.  The junior high volleyball teams will host Stryker on Thursday.

The varsity soccer match at Maumee Valley Country Day last night was postponed due to weather.  The varsity and JV soccer teams will host Maumee on Thursday.
