Friday, April 27

The STEM field trip meeting to Stone Lab is rescheduled for Tuesday during lunch in Mr. Poulson’s room.

STEM Club will meet on Wednesday after school next week, NOT Tuesday.

This is a reminder to everyone who is participating in the MarioKart Wii tournament.  You must donate a pair of new socks to enter.  If you do not donate a pair of socks or if you do not show up to play by today, you will be eliminated from the tournament.  The tournament is being held in the varsity gym during lunch.  Thank you to all who are participating.

Would you like to get involved in student leadership and help make PHS a better place?  Consider running for a class office or the PHS Student Council for the 2018-2009 school year.  You may pick up application forms from Mr. Beck, Mrs. Richer, or the counselor’s office.  These forms are due to one of these teachers or Mrs. Wyman by 3:15 on Wednesday, May 2.  Voting will take place during class meetings on Friday, May 5.

Congratulations to the softball team and the baseball team for their conference victories last night over the visiting Panthers from Stryker.  The softball team defeated Stryker 12-2. The baseball team picked up the win with a score of 9-3.  Good luck to the softball team and baseball team tonight at LC.  Good luck to the varsity track teams at the Archbold Relays tonight.

FFA Executive Committee meets at lunch today.

Ag students:  We need to pack trees this morning, as much as possible, so they can be distributed.  If you are available 1st period, Activity Period, or periods 2-4 from study hall, please come to the Ag room.

Sophomores need to report to the computer lab for testing after Activity Period today.

Activity Period today will be for NHS. They will meet in the study hall.  All other students should report to homeroom.

For the students who submitted applications and a deposit for the STEM Stone Lab field trip in June, there will be an information meeting about the overnight field trip in Mrs. Meller’s room during lunch tomorrow.  Grab your lunch and go to the meeting.

This is a reminder that each student needs to turn in a memory of a faculty member to their homeroom teacher by this Friday for the Teacher Appreciation Assembly.

The softball team was victorious over Styker last night by a score of 12-5.  With the win, head Coach Kendra Stahl picked up her 100th career victory.  Congratulations to Coach Stahl and the softball team for this accomplishment.

Detention today will be in Ms. Dorosz’s room.

High School Track Results:  Girls placed 1st with 118 ½ points to North Central’s and Hilltop’s 33 points.  Boys placed 2nd with 74 points behind Hilltop’s 85 points.

Attention HS Quiz team members traveling to Nationals:  Please plan to meet in Ms. Dorosz’s room today at lunch.

Students attending the FCCLA State Leadership Conference this week should meet with Mrs. Bacon during lunch today.

Thank you to all who donated blood last Thursday.  We collected 25 units, exceeding our goal and potentially saving many lives.  Thanks for giving of yourselves in this life-giving way.

H.S. Track Results from Diller Invitational:

Girls:  Team was 4th out of 18 teams.  Elizabeth Sauder won the 1600 and 800.  Elizabeth was named MVP of the Invitational.

Boys:  Team was 11th out of 18 teams.  Jaret Rychener came in 2nd in the high jump.
