NHS members and 7th graders:  NHS lunch bunch will be held Friday during activity period this week, not at lunch.  FFA members should go to their meeting instead.

Auditions are being held for the 2017-2018 season of Noteworthy.  Students in grades 8-11 who are signed up for choir next year are eligible to audition.  See Mr. Beck to schedule an audition.

There will be volleyball open gym tonight for girls in grades 7-12.  This will be in the varsity gym from 7:30-9:00.  Also, any volleyball players in grades 8-11 who have not picked up a summer volleyball calendar, please see Mr. Horning today or tomorrow at lunch.

Girls in grades 8-11 playing basketball next year are reminded to turn in your camp deposit to Coach Waldvogel.

Attention JH/HS Scholastic Writing Winners:  Please meet this Friday, May 19 at 11:40 in the atrium for a yearbook picture.

This is a reminder that lunch account balances need to have a positive balance at all times.  If your current lunch account balance is low or negative, please inform your parents immediately and add additional funds to your account.  If you have any questions or concerns, please see Mr. Lane as soon as possible.

The library is now closed for the school year.  All books must be returned by May 18th unless you have made other arrangements with Mrs. Horning.

 Yesterday a group of 7th and 8th grade English students participated in the Writers Ink Creative Writing competition against other local schools.  For the 7th grade individual writing phase, Clara Damman placed 8th, Karsyn Hostetler 4th, Lyla Heising 3rd, and Keliah Fish finished 1st.  For the 8th graders, Elise Harzler place 7th, Levi Myers 6th, and Dominic Heising 5th.  For the 7th grade team writing phase, the team of Karsyn Hostetler, Pete Rupp, and Lyla Heising finished 1st.  Congratulations to all participants!

There will be a meeting today for girls in grades 7 & 8 who are planning on playing basketball next year.  Please bring your lunch and meet in room 146.

 Summer driver education classes will be taking place at the Archbold High School starting June 5.  There will also be a class that starts August 2.  Information for these classes can be picked up in the office.  You can also contact Craig Link at 419-266-9907 or at clink@archboldschools.org.

 High School track results – BBC Championship at Montpelier

Girls – BBC Champion!! 4th year in a row!!  Alexa Leppelmeier set a new BBC record in the 3200 with a time of 11:51.46.  4x400 set a new BBC record with a time of 4:14.29. The team includes Liz Sauder, Morgan Leppelmeier, Nichole Foor, Alexa Leppelmeier.

Boys – Team 4th.

 Eleven students from Pettisville participated in the Ohio Academy of Science State Science Day this past Saturday at Ohio State University.  Receiving Superior ratings: Gretchen Lee, Jordan Skates, Jacob Dennis, Kayla Wyse.  Gretchen, Jordan, and Jacob had perfect 40 out of 40 point scores.  Receiving Excellent ratings: Baden Skates, Tommy McWatters, Matt Rupp, Heath Waidelich, Jessica McWatters, Kenzi Rivera.  Jacob was recognized for participating 5 years at State Science Day.  Gretchen and Jordan were recognized for participating 4 years at State Science Day.  We will know in about a week of any sponsored awards our students won.

 Detention today will be in Mrs. Nafziger’s room.
