Pettisville Elementary sponsors a food pantry program to help our district families. We collect non-perishable food and personal hygiene items to stock our pantry (year-round). Our pantry will also distribute coats and school supplies, as needs arise. Food and hygiene items, as well as monetary donations will be collected throughout the entire year, including the summer months.
Monetary donations collected will be used to buy items to help stock the pantry.
Please make checks payable to Pettisville Schools-Blackbird Pantry.
Families in need may request a particular item at any time. We also have a “Bird Pack” program available where backpacks are filled with non-perishable items to create a meal. If you are a family in need, you may fill out the Bird Pack Request Form (HERE) indicating your request for up to two meals per week. “Bird Packs” will be sent home on Fridays or the last student day of each week. Please fill out the form and return it by Wednesday, indicating how many days you need a meal for the upcoming week. A new form needs to be filled out each week. Be sure to fill out the form completely. All requests are kept private. Please remember to send the empty backpack to school the next day. Your child can give it to his/her teacher.
