Blackbird Pantry

The Pettisville Elementary is continuing to sponsor a pantry program to help our district families in these difficult economic times. We are continuing to collect non-perishable food and personal hygiene items to stock our pantry. See the suggested list below. Our pantry will also distribute coats and school supplies, but we have an adequate supply of these items at the current time.

Monetary donations will also be accepted. The money collected will be used to buy items to help stock the pantry. Please make checks payable to Pettisville Schools-Blackbird Pantry. All food and hygiene items and donations will be collected throughout the entire year, including the summer.

Families in need may request a particular item at any time. We will also have a “Bird Pack” program where backpacks will be filled with non-perishable items to create a meal. If you are a family in need, you may fill out the Bird Pack Request Form (linked below) indicating your request for up to two meals per week. “Bird Packs” will be sent home on Fridays or the last student day of each week. Please fill out the form and return it by Wednesday of the week indicating how many days you need a meal for the upcoming week. A form needs to be filled out each week. Please be sure to fill out the form completely. All requests will be kept private. Please remember to send the empty backpack to school the next day. Your child can give it to his/her teacher.
