Announcements - Week of 11/26/18

Thursday, Nov. 29 - 

This morning is the free cholesterol screening for freshmen and seniors. Staff can have their cholesterol screened for only $5. The screening is being offered by the Fulton County Health Center, whose workers will be located in room 226. We thank FCHC for providing us this service.  Students will be called in small groups throughout this morning and you will need to take your completed form with you to the screening. If you previously turned in your form to the office, it will already be in room 226.

Spirit week continues!  Friday is Super Spirit Day.  We want to see everyone’s best Super Spirit outfits!

Reminder for STEM Club participants:  The Arduino STEM module begins tomorrow after school in Mrs. Meller’s science classroom.  The session will last until approximately 4:45. We will also meet on December 7 & 14. Mark your calendars with these dates!

Wednesday, Nov. 28 - 

This reminder is for all freshmen, seniors and staff.  This Thursday, November 29th, is the annual free cholesterol screening for freshmen and seniors. Staff members can have their cholesterol screened for only $5. Money raised will go to the Fulton County Heart Radiothon.  Please remember to drop off your signed form into the office or bring it with you to school tomorrow for the screening. From those students who participate, Mr. Lane will draw the names of one senior and one freshman who will have the opportunity to pull the fire alarm during an upcoming fire drill.

Spirit week continues!  Thursday is Country vs. Country Club Day.  Seniors, Sophomores, and 8th graders: Dress up in your best Country Club attire. Juniors, Freshmen, and 7th graders: Dress up in your best Country attire.

Detention today will be with Mr. Horning in room #150.

On Monday, the varsity and JV quiz teams traveled to Bowling Green for their 5th Toledo Area League competition. Both teams were victorious and their current record is 5-0. Congratulations!

Tuesday, Nov. 27 -

Students in grades 7-12: Basketball season is almost here! Spirit week is this week.  There are signs posted around the school to tell you the themes for each day during this week. Wednesday is “Duo-Day.” Grab a friend and dress as a famous duo. Example: Be someone’s peanut butter to their jelly or Sponge Bob and Patrick.

Congratulations to the girls’ varsity team for their 47-41 victory over the Edon Blue Bombers on Friday in conference play.

Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade girls’ basketball teams for their victories over visiting Edon last night. The 7th grade won 33-8 and the 8th grade won 18-16.
