Friday, Oct. 12 - Attention quiz team members! Attention STEM club members! Attention all athletes! Attention science fair members! Attention choir students! Attention faculty, staff and administration! Attention everyone! Every 2-3 weeks, your stories are being printed in our school newspaper, the Pet Echoes. Whether you are aware of it or not, you are probably being covered. Seniors, this is your last year of memories and each of you will be individually featured in your own senior article. Any student or staff who wish to subscribe to the Pet Echoes this year should turn your subscription form and payment into the office or to Mrs. Dadisman.

 

Congratulations to the varsity volleyball team for their straight victory over Edon last in BBC play.  The Blackbirds finish as outright BBC Champions for the sixth year in a row. The volleyball team will take on Edgerton at Holgate High School on Thursday, October 18 in the sectional final beginning at 5:30pm.

 

Congratulations to the soccer team for their 6 to 1 victory over the host Panthers at Delta last night. The varsity soccer team will travel to Maumee Valley Country Day High School on Monday, October 15 for the sectional semi-finals.  The match begins at 4:30pm.

 

Good luck to Max Leppelmeier as he tees off today at 10:40am in the OHSAA State Golf Championships.

 

Good luck to the cross country teams tomorrow at the BBC Championships at Hilltop High School beginning at 9:00am.

 

Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams for their two set victories over Edon last night. They will be in BBC Tournament tomorrow at Montpelier beginning at 9:00am.

 

Morning Activity Period will be for FFA and Student Council.  FFA will meet in Mr. Poulson’s room and student council will meet in the theater. All other students should report to homeroom.

Wednesday, Oct. 10 - 

Darryl Strawberry will be a special guest speaker at the High School FCA meeting on Wednesday during lunch. Darryl is well known for his 17-year career in Major League Baseball, especially with the New York Mets and New York Yankees.  All high school students are welcome to come and hear his story.

 

Congratulations to soccer team for their senior night victory over Continental last night by a score of 3 to 2 with goals from Detric Yoder, Canidate Vickery and Theary Eash

 

The 8th grade volleyball team was victorious over Fayette last night. The 7th grade lost in three sets.

 

Congratulations to the JV and Varsity volleyball teams for their straight set victories over Fayette last night in BBC Play.

 

Last night in the third set on her 22nd kill of the night, Morgan Leppelmeier became the first Pettisville volleyball player in school history to record 1000 career kills.  Congratulations on this record setting accomplishment.

Tuesday, Oct. 9 -

Congratulations to the JV and varsity volleyball teams for their victories over Delta last night.  The JV won in three sets 27-25, 19-25, and 25-23.  The varsity won in five sets 25-23, 25-19, 23-25, 17-25, and 15-9.

 

The junior high soccer team lost to MVCDS in a close match 1 to 0 last night.

 

Good luck to the varsity soccer team vs. Continental tonight.  Soccer senior night begins at 4:45pm at the field. Good luck to the volleyball teams vs. Fayette tonight.  Volleyball senior night begins immediately following the conclusion of the JV match.

 

There will be boys’ and girls’ basketball shoe sizing for grades 7-12 today at lunch in the varsity gym. See Coach Waldvogel or Coach Leppelmeier with any questions.

 

There will be junior high boys’ basketball open gym tonight from 7:30-8:30pm in the junior high gym. There will be boys’ basketball open gym for grades 9-12 in the varsity gym tonight after the volleyball game.

Monday, Oct. 8 - 

A college rep from UNOH will be here today during lunch.

Attention all class officers:  If you did not have your photo taken last Friday, you will have your photo taken this Friday. Please dress nicely as this photo will be used in the Lariat as well as the newspaper.

Congratulations to the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams for their runner-up finishes at the Hudson Invite on Saturday. Logan Rufenacht was 2nd, followed by Max Leppelmeier in 7th, Calvin Nofziger in 16th, and Caleb Nolander in 22nd. The girls were led by Kate Stuber in 2nd, followed by Morgan Leppelmeier in 9th and Sarah Foor in 12th, and Kelly Miller in 16th.

There will be boys’ basketball shoe sizing for boys in grades 7-12 for those that are interested on Tuesday, Oct. 9 during lunch in the varsity gym. Please see Mr. Leppelmeier if you have any questions.

FFA members who applied to go to National FFA Convention need to meet today in the Ag room during lunch.

The Jr. Class supper advertising committee will meet in Mrs. Meller’s science classroom during lunch today.

Congratulations to Bryce Beltz. He is the winner of the oldest class ring contest. He brought in a ring from 1932 and will receive his class ring for free.

Varsity Cheerleaders: Please check your school email. The practice schedule was emailed to you yesterday.

The Pettisville JV and Varsity cheerleading squad will have a meeting in room 150 on Tuesday, Oct 16th during 8th period. The meeting will probably last until 4:00pm. We are meeting with the Uniform Rep. It is important that all high school cheerleaders attend this meeting.  Cheerleading practices won’t start yet. Mrs. Bacon will get a practice schedule to you by October 12. Stop by Mrs. Bacon’s room this week to give her your cell phone number and email address.
