The Pettisville JV and Varsity cheerleading squad will have a meeting in room 150 on Tuesday, Oct 16th during 8th period. The meeting will probably last until 4:00pm. We are meeting with the Uniform Rep. It is important that all high school cheerleaders attend this meeting. Cheerleading practices won’t start yet. Mrs. Bacon will get a practice schedule to you by October 12. Stop by Mrs. Bacon’s room this week to give her your cell phone number and email address.

District I FFA Soil results from last week include: The Urban Soils Team placed 2nd with Clara Damman, Carson Bennett and Baden Skates as the team. All placed in the top 20. The Rural Soil Team placed 10th with scores from Andrew Hulbert, Sam Wilburn and Kearsten Zuver counting as the top 3 scorers. The Urban Team can advance to state competition.
Do you need advice? Are you feeling stressed? Starting this Thursday, there will be a box on top of Ryeana Klopfenstein’s locker for you to put your problems in. For each issue of the Pet Echoes, Ryeana will choose a topic to write an advice column about. Thank you for your participation!

Congratulations to all National Honor Society members who ran for office positions for this 2018-2019 school year. This year’s president is Josh Bock; VP – Lindsey Crossgrove; Secretary – Kayla Wyse; and the Committee Advisor – Wyatt Cerda.
The 8th grade volleyball team was victorious over Archbold last night. The 8th grade won 25 to 19, 17 to 25, and 25 to 13. The 7th grade lost in a close three set match.
The junior high soccer team was defeated by a score of 1 to 0 by Maumee Valley Country Day.
There will be junior high boys’ basketball open gym tonight from 7:30-8:30pm in the junior high gym.

The Financial Aid night is at Wauseon High School tonight at 6:30. Amy Francis from Defiance College will present. She can answer any FAFSA questions your family may have.
High school girls who previously signed up for cheerleading will have a meeting at lunch today. So, if your name is on the sign-up sheet that was in the office 3 weeks ago, please get your lunch and go to the library for your first meeting.

The Pumpkin Fest, sponsored by the Pettisville FFA Alumni and Friends group is Friday, Oct. 5. Grades 4-7 can sign up for the 3 on 3 basketball contest using the sign-up sheets located in the office or in Mr. Poulson’s room. Sign up needs completed by Wednesday, Oct. 3rd. We need 4 or more teams to hold this event. 4th-12th graders can sign up for the 6 on 6 dodgeball tournament using the same sign-up sheets located in the office or in Mr. Poulson’s room. Dodgeball is co-ed teams with no more than 4 boys on a team. Sign up needs completed by Wednesday, Oct. 3 so brackets can be developed ahead of the contest. There are no substitutes. The cost if $5/person. The prizes are t-shirts. Sign up and pay by 3:15 Wednesday, Oct. 3.
