Attention 8-11 graders that are interested in playing high school golf next fall.  We will be having a meeting during lunch today in the high school computer lab to discuss expectations for the 2018 golf season.  Head up to the room with your lunch!

We will be taking a group picture of the high school quiz team members on Tuesday of next week during lunch.  Please wear your quiz shirt.

Volleyball players in grades 8-11:  There will be an important meeting in the study hall during lunch today.

The deadline to sign up for Pettisville Idol is tomorrow.  Friday is also the deadline for turning in your signed contract.  One contract per group, not per person.  You need to sign up for a rehearsal time.  The sign-up sheet is in Mrs. Bacon’s room on the ledge inside the door.

Immediately after this morning’s announcements, grades 9-11 will be voting for student council president for next year.  Grade 8 will vote at the beginning of period 2.  Zach Basselman and Josh Bock are the candidates.

Tomorrow during periods 1 & 2, grades 8-11 will be voting on student council president for the 2018-2019 school year.  The candidates for this office are Zach Basselman and Josh Bock.  You will hear from each of them on tomorrow morning’s announcements.

STEM Club will meet in the Atrium after school today to travel to Goll Woods.

The dvds of “My Fair Lady” have arrived.  If you ordered one, please bring your $25 and pick yours up in Mr. Beck’s office.

There will be a meeting for all girls in grades 7-11 interested in playing basketball next year at 7:45am on Thursday in the study hall.  If you are unable to attend, you need to see Coach Waldvogel.

HS Track Results from N.C.:

Girls – 1st place followed by N.C. and Edon

Boys – Came in 2nd place.

Detention today will be in the career center with Mrs. Wyman.

The STEM field trip meeting to Stone Lab is today during lunch in Mr. Poulson’s room. Grab your lunch and come to the meeting.  Junior high students, make sure you talk to your 4th period teachers about being late to class after lunch.

STEM Club will meet tomorrow after school.  We will be traveling to Goll Woods, so dress for being outdoors.

Would you like to get involved in student leadership and help make PHS a better place?  Consider running for a class office or the PHS Student Council for the 2018-2019 school year.  You may pick up application forms from Mr. Beck, Mrs. Richer, or the counselor’s office.  These forms are due to one of these teachers or Mrs. Wyman by 3:15 on Wednesday, May 2.  Voting will take place during class meetings on Friday, May 5.

Welcome back to the high school quiz team who competed at the NAQT Small School National Championship tournament this past weekend.  The Nerd Herd participated for 10 rounds of preliminary matches on Saturday.  They finished the day with a 6-4 record which qualified them for the bracketed playoffs on Sunday.  Jacob Myers’ performance led to his being named a tournament all-star, finishing as the 14th highest scorer out of 527 participants.  The team finished tied for 23rd spot.  Congrats to the Nerd Herd who clearly had the largest team and fan following at the tournament.  To our fans:  Thank you for all your support!

There will be volleyball open gym tonight for girls in grades 7-11 in the varsity gym from 7:15-8:45.

Volleyball off-season conditioning for out-of-season athletes will be in the weight room from 3:15-4:00 today.

Congratulations to Pettisville FCCLA who received the following award at the State FCCLA Leadership Conference last Thursday and Friday.  Zoe Bullano placed 2nd in the state for her Fashion Construction project.  She will be going to Atlanta in June to compete again.  Kenzi Rivera, Autumn Ryan, and Evan Warner received their Power of One degrees.  Pettisville also received the Ohio Outstanding Chapter Award.  Congratulations to the FCCLA!

Today’s baseball game with Toledo Christian starts at 4:00pm.

There will be girls’ basketball open gym tonight from 7:00-8:30 for grades 5-11.

High School track results from Archbold Relays on Saturday are as follows: The girls’ team place 3rd.  The distance relay and 4x800 teams came in 1st place along with the girls’ pole vaulting team. The boys’ team place 6th . Zach Morrison and Jaret Rychener took 1st place in their events.
