Valentine’s Day is approaching and hopefully you are thinking about giving special gifts to the people you care about and love.  Stop by the atrium and see what you can send to your Valentine.  You can purchase:  Gerber Daisies - $6; Carnations - $3.50; Crush pop cans - $1.  You can send a message with your gift.  Be sure to stop by the FCCLA table in the atrium during lunch today and every day until Feb. 9th.  Find out what the colors of flowers are when you stop by the table.  Pick up an order form, fill it out, and return it with the correct amount of money for your order.  All orders will be delivered on February 14th.  Crush pop cans, along with their message, will be delivered after school.  See Autumn Coffey, Kenzi Rivera, or Mrs. Bacon if you have any questions.

Detention today will be in the Career Center with Mrs. Wyman.

Attention JH quiz members:  This is a reminder that your first match of the season is this Thursday after school.  Please remember to bring a snack to share and let Ms. Dorosz know if you do not plan to attend.

Attention Class Officers:  All class officer pictures will be taken on Friday.  Dress accordingly.

Great job to the 6th, 7th and 8th graders for collecting $2642.50 on the first collection day of your fundraiser!  Today is another collection day, then tomorrow will be your third and Tuesday, Feb. 13th will be the final collection day.  Prizes are available to pick up in the office for the first collection day.

Congratulations to all our Fulton County spelling bee participants last night!  You made Pettisville proud! Placing were: 5th grade – Cayden Bishop (3rd place); 7th grade – Haylee Bronson (2nd place); 8th grade – Lyla Heising (1st place).  Lyla was also recognized by the tournament director for winning four years in a row. Congratulations again to all participants.

Last night the high school quiz team participated in 3 of their regular season matches.  They defeated LC 39-33, Defiance 41-14, and Napoleon 47-24, moving their regular season record to

6-1.

6th, 7th & 8th graders:  Today is the first collection day for your fundraiser.  Please turn in your orders and money to your first period class. The second collection day will be tomorrow.  An announcement will be made when the final count is complete and you can pick up prizes in the office.

The next module of STEM on Music and Technology starts today after school.  We will meet in Mrs. Meller’s science classroom for snacks at 3:15 and then start right away at 3:30. The sessions for this module will last until 4:45 to 5:00pm.  Please see Mrs. Meller or Mrs. Miller if you have questions or you will not be able to attend this first session.

There will be softball conditioning in the weight room today from 4:00-5:00 and on Thursday after school until 4:15.

Congratulations to the 7th grade boys’ basketball team for their victory over North Central last night in the BBC semi-finals.  The 7th grade boys move onto the championship game this Saturday at 10:00 in the JH gym.

Attention cast of “My Fair Lady”:  Rehearsal for tonight is music only.  There will be no blocking. Chorus should report at 7:00.  Smaller ensembles will rehearse at 8:00.  Please let Mr. Beck know if you will not be there.

Good luck to the 7th and 8th grade boys’ basketball teams today at Pettisville in the junior high BBC tournament.  The 8th grade will take on Edon at 5:00 in the varsity gym.  The 7th grade will take on North Central in the second game of the evening in the JH gym.  This is a BBC tournament event.  Pettisville season passes, staff passes, and senior citizen passes will not be accepted.  Ticket prices are $4 for adults and $3 for students.

JV and Varsity boys’ basketball practice will be in the weight room right after school.
