This is a reminder to the JH quiz team that there is practice during Activity Period today.
Activity Period today will be for NHS and FCCLA. NHS will meet in the study hall and FCCLA will meet in Mrs. Bacon’s room. All other students please report to homeroom.
First semester grade cards will be handed out today in your homeroom. If you are in NHS or FCCLA, you need to stop at your homeroom and pick up your grade card before proceeding on to your Activity Period meeting.
Congratulations to the 7th grade boys, JV girls, and varsity girls for their victories last night. The 7th grade boys defeated Evergreen 33-32. The JV girls won 18-14 over Montpelier and the varsity girls picked up the BBC win by a score of 35-29.
The JV and Varsity Boys travel to Montpelier tonight for a 6:00pm JV start. This is a reminder that there will not be a freshman game at Montpelier tonight. The freshman game will be rescheduled for a later date.
There is no dress-up theme for tonight’s boys’ basketball game. The theme for tomorrow night’s game against L.C. is “White Out.”

Attention Seniors: Graduation announcements will be delivered on Wednesday, January 31st. Orders need to be picked up before school in the cafeteria. You will need to pay your remaining balance due to pick up your order. Please make your final payment online or have the exact amount in cash on delivery day.
Attention Junior class officers: Don’t forget there will be a special meeting concerning graduation 2019 on Wednesday, January 31st. Please remember to report to the cafeteria at 8:30am.

Congratulations to Gretchen Lee who found out yesterday that in addition to her other scholastic writing awards, she also won the Scholastic American Voices and Visions Nomination. Five works of writing from each region are selected for this nomination based on originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision. It is the highest regional honor presented. This weekend, Gretchen will have the opportunity to record a reading of her piece on a Fort Wayne radio station which will be made available online. Congratulations to her!
The high school quiz team opened their NBAL season yesterday with two wins, defeating Archbold 44-32 and Delta 47-21.

Congratulations to the varsity girls’ basketball team for their 35-28 victory over Edon on Friday night.
The 7th grade boys defeated Hilltop on Saturday 37-24. The freshman boys picked a road win on Saturday at Evergreen by a score of 26-19. The varsity boys were also victorious at Evergreen with a score of 45-42.
